I’ve been waiting to try this place ever since they were originally on the city side. Walk inside and you’ll find a clean well kept establishment with excellent service. The menu offers a wide range of items for breakfast, lunch, & dinner.
I tried the sausage breakfast burrito that came with peppers and onions inside. Very good I will say. The burrito came with potatoes and peppers sprinkled with Parmesan cheese on top that I really enjoyed. Accompanied by sides of sour cream, guacamole, and pico, the dish was well presented.
My only disappointment came from the tortilla. It was toasted and crunchy to the point were it was almost a tortilla chip. The thin texture threw off the taste either from toasting too long or from how it’s made.
My gf had the waffles with a side of bacon. The waffles came with syrup and butter. I wish it came with whipped cream and/or some berries on top. It’s as plain as I’m writing it. Still a nice waffle with syrup and...
Read moreHappy Hearts is the true reincarnation of the former "project" to assist, train, and employ the deaf community in central Viet Nam. Started by a Kansas missionary couple as Pizza Plus in 2005, it grew into a full blown restaurant called Bread of Life that moved several times in the past ten years. The couple retired several years ago, Bread of Life was sold off that resulted in the departure of many of the deaf employees. Most of those former employees have resurrected the spirit of Catherine in this new establishment. No, it's not always the fastest place or the most consistent with the recipes, but you won't find another place in town that appreciates your business more. Eating at the happy heart still reminds me of the positive enthusiasm of those early days at the bread of life. The crew there is still keeping Catherine's dream alive and have become themselves independent and successful. Give them a try and support...
Read moreThis past week I’ve had the full English breakfast (twice) and the club sandwich (once). Obviously, the cooks are geniuses! They have skills that take me back to my mother’s cooking. The savory taste of the breakfast starts with the perfect breakfast potatoes, the best bacon in Vietnam, the homemade bread (toast) , the beans, perfectly poached eggs, the sausage patty (can be switched out for more bacon😃) and the fried tomatoes will keep you coming back for more! 10/10
The club sandwich was also spectacular, I enjoyed the first half the sandwich then ate the second half without the bread (😥) as a club salad (because I was getting stuffed!). Overall, another 10/10! The entire staff are friendly and professional as are the owners. Hands down, my favorite restaurant in Da Nang!...
