From the moment you step into [Indian aroma], you're transported to the vibrant streets of India. The warm, inviting ambiance, coupled with the tantalizing aromas of exotic spices, sets the stage for a culinary adventure. A Feast for the Senses The menu is a treasure trove of authentic Indian delicacies, catering to both seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike. We started with the crispy, golden-brown samosas, filled with a flavorful blend of potatoes and peas. The accompanying mint chutney was a perfect complement, adding a refreshing zing to the dish. For the main course, we indulged in the butter chicken, a rich and creamy delight that melted in our mouths. The tender, succulent chicken was bathed in a velvety tomato-based sauce, infused with aromatic spices. To balance the richness, we paired it with a side of fragrant basmati rice. The highlight of the meal, however, was the lamb vindaloo. A fiery concoction that tantalized our taste buds, the lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The heat was tempered by the cooling effect of the raita, a refreshing yogurt-based dip. Impeccable Service The attentive and knowledgeable staff added to the overall dining experience. They were more than happy to recommend dishes and answer any questions we had about the menu. A Memorable Dining Experience is more than just a restaurant; it's a cultural experience. The food is exceptional, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or prefer milder flavors, there's something for everyone on the menu.

Read moreAbsolutely blown away by our experience at Mumtaz Restaurant. It's no surprise they’ve earned a Michelin star—it’s well-deserved. The service from Vishnu was impeccable. He made us feel completely at home, offering thoughtful recommendations that elevated our entire meal.
We started with the manchow soup and chicken lollipop. The soup was warm, flavorful, and comforting, while the chicken lollipop was an absolute highlight—the marinade was to die for, packed with bold, addictive flavors.
The butter chicken and goat kadai were both rich and perfectly spiced, paired beautifully with the soft and fragrant garlic naan. The vegetable kurma was a delightful surprise, full of fresh, vibrant flavors. Vishnu suggested we try a new menu item, the Kerala parotha, and it took me straight back to India—flaky, buttery, and absolutely perfect. We finished with sheeran, which was the ideal sweet end to the meal.
Vishnu also recommended a beer that paired wonderfully with our dishes, showing real expertise in creating a complete dining experience. The food came out quickly, but nothing felt rushed—just excellent service from start to finish.
This place isn’t just about eating; it’s about truly enjoying food and feeling cared for. Can’t wait to return the next time we...
Read moreWhere to start? This is the third Indian I’ve had in Vietnam. We were very excited to try Michelin recommended Indian food. Boy we were disappointed!
Short version: Their menu doesn’t have descriptions and waitress was worse than useless!
The good: it was freshly made and the flavours were mostly well balanced. There was also a lovely Vietnamese waitress who was very attentive and good at her job!
The bad: our waitress, an Indian woman in a white dress, was awful. We asked for “not spicy” this clearly wasn’t communicated to the chef! My girlfriend couldn’t finish her food. I ordered a ‘non-veg’ thali. This waitress explained the meal as ‘lots of little meat curries for you to try’. I like my meat so this sounded great! She then upsold me to get the most expensive version of this meal. What a lie! Of the 8 dishes, only 1 had meat… two pieces of chicken. Peshwari naan filling Lentil curry Diced onions with a bit of spice Chicken curry (tasty but only two pieces of chicken) Relatively flavourless potatoes Yogurt Lime pickle Cucumber
The thali came with a plain naan, roti, poppadom and rice. Despite this, the waitress happily let me order another naan and poppadom. Waste of money!
Very disappointed we wasted the time and money...
