This place is seriously a gem! We first ordered egg fried rice from them on grab during Tết and loved it so much that we decided to dine in next time. We had the Triple Szechuan Fried Rice dish with egg (absolutely to die for, it’s smoky, fresh, flavorful, and light) as well as the Dahl Tadka, tandoori roti, samosas, hara bhara kabab, pulka, gulab jamun, and masala chai made with soy milk over the course of two visits. When I tell you everything is so good! I mean, it was too good hahaha, they honestly don’t ever miss it seems. I don’t even have pictures to prove it (that’s when you know it’s good). The food is not overly oily like other Indian restaurants and when you say mild spice, they actually listen but the food still tastes good (it isn’t bland at all if you request mild spice). Also, some dishes are cooked in ghee which is great for digestibility. The other thing I like about their restaurant is how genuine the owner, his wife and the manger are. The staff are really nice too! You can tell they love what they do and they care about quality, which is rare. We appreciate them so much for existing so we can eat good quality (home cooking style food) when we’re not in the mood to cook. I will add photos to this post when I go next so you can see some of the amazing dishes they offer! Definitely go if you’re on the fence on whether to go or not. Oh by the way, they don’t use MSG in their food. Someone mentioned that I believe in one of the other reviews and so I checked with the owner and it’s not true. Also, the food is not heavy on the stomach nor does digest like “regular Indian food” so I...
Read moreI recently dined at Patakha, an Indian restaurant in Da Nang, Vietnam, and had a fantastic experience. The blend of Indian and Vietnamese staff created a welcoming atmosphere, and the service was exceptional. Not only was the staff friendly and attentive, but their knowledge of both cuisines made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The highlight, of course, was the food. Patakha's commitment to high-quality ingredients and authentic flavors truly shone through. The menu offered a wide variety of Indian dishes, all of which were prepared with precision and care. The flavors were rich and vibrant, capturing the essence of Indian cuisine while also catering to local preferences.
One thing that stood out was the attention to detail in presentation. Each dish was beautifully arranged, adding to the overall dining experience. Whether it was the aromatic biryanis, flavorful curries, or tandoori delights, every bite was a delightful journey through the diverse culinary landscape of India.
Patakha is a testament to the fusion of cultures, with Indian and Vietnamese influences coming together seamlessly. The restaurant's ambiance, service, and, most importantly, the outstanding quality of the food make it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in the...
Read moreFood was not good, excessive wait times for food with items either missing or wrong. The manager needs to calm down and learn how to speak to guests and understand their requests. This is not how you run a hospitality business the manager had an argument with every guest group in the restaurant.
Okayish Food let down by the service and environment, the price was definitely not worth the terrible experience. Even the toilet was not working, we had to use a nearby hotel. There are other Indian restaurants to try in the vicinity that are much better.
Things that did not meet our expectations. A working Toilet Missed Butter in Roti(rectified after we asked) Missing Vada Pav Peanut powder(rectified after we asked) Vada Pav Potato filling was stale. Missing Onion and Chilli salad for Palak Paneer, Tandoori Roti and Paratha. (We saw while leaving the restaurant that the other guests were served these, but not us) We ordered masala butter milk which tasted like plain water and not worth the price. Masala Buttermilk was full of water and didn’t have any masala at all, got charged 55k for a small glass.
Wish we could ask...
