The Craftsman Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

It's a pity but this bar keeps going down hill year after year. It's really silly to be forced to wait outside for no reason. Two times ago we were forced to wait outside for 5-10 minutes and when we were finally allowed in... the bar was 80% empty. We tried again a few weeks later and our group was denied service when half the bar was empty with more than 6-7 open tables and a completely open floor. They even refused to let us stand inside when there was so much space despite having events there where people stand very often. Fast way to lose regular customers.

None of us can understand the logic or want to give this place another chance. It's such a weird experience. The staff explained that many of the empty tables were for bookings, but the people were over 45 minutes late haha. I wonder if the owner cares or knows how much money they are losing. Perhaps trying to look more exclusive? I just don't get it..

I recommend the management changes this new policy of this silly seating area or stop taking reservations and still holding the tables when the guests don't show up on time. If the staff even let you inside, the massive amounts of people smoking indoors in the tiny venue and no ventilation makes it...

Went here with a friend for a couple of cocktails, but stayed for one drink and then left. The atmosphere was extremely weird with a lot of older mismatched couples- wouldn’t recommend for anyone below the age of 30. The drinks tasted OK but were obviously a lot more expensive than elsewhere in Da Nang. The server short changed us by 10,000VD: unsure if this was a genuine mistake or trying to take advantage of tourists unfamiliarity with the currency. Sort of hope it was the former.

The music was OK- the theme was hip hop/ R+B. It felt as though the DJ was playing one song for the crowd, and then one for himself. The ones for himself were far superior, and I did Shazam a few. Would be interested to hear what type of jazz they play, but wouldn’t go back because of the service and strange crowd it attracts.

The entrance is different and quirky- so if you’re into that type of Instagram-worthy entrance then this is probably your thing. Otherwise,...

5 stars service, 5 stars atmosphere, 5 stars staff, and 5 stars drinks.

I felt so overwhelming because there are so many cocktails bars/lounges in Da Nang, but if you are looking for a speakeasy/low-key but still having a great time place, come to the Craftsman.

They had a live DJ on Saturday's night that played all type of music, from hip hop, RnB, Soul, K-Pop - basically I felt like there were something that everyone can vibe with.

You can sit at the booth, the bar, or in small table in the corner depends on what you are looking for, but that's the great things, you have options. You can be lowkey, and you can also do a little dance and vibe with the music.

Shout out to the bartenders Lực and Chí for meeting all my crazy drinks request and exceeded the expectations on all of them.
