Friendly staff, very good cheesecake (especially the strawberry and the passion fruit one). We went there 3 times in 1 week. Careful, the price of some drinks is not the one shown on the menu behind the counter. After checking with the staff, it seems that they told their management already but the prices were not updated yet. Here are 2 examples. Orange juice is 37k instead of 35k. Bac Xiu is 35k instead of 30k. Btw, Bac Xiu really met my expectations : I'm not a big fan of coffee but I love having it with milk. Ca Phe Sua could be good but the condensed milk does not soften the taste of coffee and it makes the drink a bit too sweet. The extra detail that makes Bac Xiu delicious is that their pour some milk in the Ca Phe Sua, which takes the sweet away, making it closer to a sort of Latte. Oh, and the croissants are very tasty too! They are crispy from the outside (like we would expect them to be). Additional info : it is possible to pay with Visa card with no additional fee. There's only one table inside for 2 people. Otherwise there are 2 extra tables outside for 2...
Read moreLe Bordeaux is a great bakery for satisfying your sweet tooth, offering a delightful array of freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies. They also offer a few vegan options, ensuring that everyone can partake in the indulgence of a sweet treat.
While the bakery does provide both indoor and outdoor seating areas, it is worth noting that the use of the solid hardwood chairs may not be the most comfortable.
For my takeout order, I opted for a plain croissant and a classic canelé, which came at a reasonable price of VND 50.000. Though some may argue that the croissant's size is on the smaller side, I personally found it to be the perfect portion for me. Additionally, the attentive staff kindly inquired if I wanted my croissant reheated before I took it home.
The canelé is one of my all time favourite items at Le Bordeaux. It has a thick, caramelised crust and a custardy texture inside, with a...
Read moreNice little French bakery located in a quiet area of An Thuong. It's a dated atmosphere and could use some modern upgrades in both seating and decoration. I enjoyed my mocha latte, but they do not offer any non-daily milk alternatives such as oat, almond, cashew, walnut, etc. The chocolate croissant was good, albeit a bit small. I returned the next day to try their quiche lorraine and their larger chocolatine, but both items were out of stock so I left. Not sure I will return if I can't be certain the items I want will be in stock. They do accept credit cards, including contactless tap and pay digital wallet payments via phone, without any annoying surcharges. That alone makes me want to return and support this small business. The service here is nice...
