One of the worst serving experiences I’ve had in Da Nang after 1.5 years. I seldom, if ever, give bad reviews, so take my word for it when I say that this establishment is not worth your time. I’m not the kind of person to complain about minor things, but the negatives kept piling up at this place. Firstly, the waiter who served us was talking to his friend on Facebook while taking our order, which inevitably led to him forgetting to serve our drinks, even though it would’ve taken him 30 seconds to grab them for us. I ended up walking up to the bar and getting our drinks by myself. Next, we waited a long time between each serving of buffet. I even gave the staff the benefit of the doubt, suggesting it wasn’t a big deal because the place was busy. But we quickly figured out that the restaurant was heavily staffed, and many staff members were constantly walking past food which was ready to serve, while ignoring calls for service by other people with empty tables. Next, when each piece of buffet did eventually arrive, the servings were small, which meant we’d eat them in a matter of a minute before waiting another 15 minutes for our next slither of food. We quickly discovered that this wasn’t an aberration, as the couple on the table next to us were also venting their frustrations. It became clear to us that this complacency was baked into the working culture at the establishment. Lastly, the crowd that the restaurant attracts is interesting to say the least — an unholy mixture of poorly behaved children, gymbro expats, and even sex pests. But perhaps we just got unlucky on that front. I’ve been to cheaper Japanese buffets in Da Nang with better quality food, far better service, and even better Sake! Do not go here, you will not get value...
Read moreReally bad. Tasteless sushi with no fish. No joke. I eat any sushi happily, this is the worst I have ever had. Sushi rolls have inside: cucumber, crab (processed stuff that is bad for your health) and something like a gherkin. If they don’t have salmon on the outside, then there is no fish at all in the sushi. No fish other than salmon. If you don’t order the medium menu for the sashimi, you get practically no fish. All the prices in the menu incur a +8% VAT surcharge. Not mentioned at any point, except for when it’s time to pay. Only one waiter speaks English (he was brilliant though)
Listen, my sushi standard is really low, am happy with whatever but this was really, really bad. You are eating the same bite in every type of sushi because they all have the same thing inside. Awful. Go...
Read moreWe ordered the 349k buffet, for two people. The food was delicious, I enjoyed the raw oysters in yuzu, the shrimp apparently was good even though we didn’t order it until the end, the sashimi was good, sushi rolls quality varies on what you get. To be clear, I came from Hawai’i so my standards for fresh fish/sushi/sashimi is kind of bourgeois 👆👃. The meat was good, they give you small portions one at a time, which is fine especially when the charcoal grill takes a very long time to cook. I probably should try their 499k buffet or set menu next time (which they wholeheartly recommend) to get the wagyu beef because some of the beef cuts were probably from domestic beefs and they’re chewy. Services were very sweet, staff are readily available and the food did come pretty quickly as they were...
