Ok, maybe my wife and I caught an off night, but we were really disappointed with our dinner here, especially after reading the reviews. The owner is friendly enough and the atmosphere is relatively peaceful, but our food was really bland and uninspired. No spice or real flavor coming through in the house special (Da Quy) Fried rice and a completely bland plate of soupy mixed vegetables. For some reason the owner talked us out of the morning glory in garlic and pushed us to order the mixed vegetables. Perhaps he also thought we couldn’t handle flavor or garlic. but I suspect he had leftovers from the 8 North Americans in the tour group who left shortly after we arrived and were the only other people there. My pork clay pot in caramel sauce was also too sweet and the pork rubbery and virtually inedible (I ate it as I don’t like to waste food). This seems to be a restaurant dumbed down for tourists and tour groups. The artichoke tea he brought to our...
Read moreMe and 3 friends visited this place last night for dinner and we were all completely stunned! First of all we got welcomed by the owner of the restaurant, who brought us to the table and was really polite and friendly. 2 of my friends took veggie dishes + beer and the other one beef with lemongrass and chili + beer. I took the fish in caramel sauce in a clay pot + strawberry shake and let me tell you guys.. this dish blew my mind! It was not only the best dish I ate in Vietnam so far, it might be one of the best I ate during my whole travel through Asia (now 10 months). After dinner we had a nice chat with the owner and we all agreed that this was an amazing place to eat and a lovely service! So for us if you visit Da Lat it’s a MUST to EAT HERE! The prices are also budget friendly and for the quality of food you get it’s like I said before - mind...
Read moreCame here initially for the fried noodles seeing that it was 99K on the menu in google reviews and high rating. I failed to check how long ago was it posted 😂 when we reached the venue, it was 120K. That was like x2 price of what we had at Yummy Noodle. We weren’t so confident of the quality at that price, so we decided to go with the baguette Beef set which was much more affordably priced. The small one at 89K and big one at 99K. To our delight, it was very good and the gravy was so delicious to dip the bread in. We also got a watermelon shake for 35K
The owner was also very pleasant and welcoming. He automatically offered to add more gravy for us when he saw that we are almost finished with it. I really enjoyed this experience, so 5 stars for...
