This little cafe is run by the sweetest elderly couple. They’re not pushy at all, unlike many other spots on Train Street, they don’t try to lure you in. When you sit down, they make sure you’re comfortable, even turning on the fan to keep you cool. They don’t speak English, but they still take the time to explain things about the trains and chat with you. Their orange juice is freshly made and perfectly balanced, not too sour, not too sweet. The pho is also amazing, we tried both the chicken and beef, and they were honestly the best we had in Hanoi. We even ordered a second round of orange juice, and the lady kindly refilled our glasses halfway through, free of charge. Prices are also cheaper than most cafes along Train Street. Overall, this place had such a genuine, welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed it much more than the cafe we went to on our first day. I definitely recommend stopping here if you visit Train Street!

We discovered a gem of a café on Hanoi’s Train Street, run by a lovely local elderly couple, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The grandmother’s Vietnamese chicken pho was incredibly delicious and authentic, with flavors that felt like they were made with love and care. The café also serves great coffee, drinks, and snacks, making it the perfect spot for an afternoon treat. What touched us the most was the couple’s friendliness and warmth. They treated us like family, making us feel truly welcomed. The café even has a timetable for when the train passes by, so you can easily catch the best moments. Watching the train roar past the shop is a breathtaking experience that you won’t find anywhere else. This café made me fall in love with Hanoi, and I hope to visit again someday. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi!

Stopped here to watch the train roll in at 3:30. The couple that runs this place are the sweetest. The iced coffees were great, the wifi worked wonderfully, they made sure we were comfortable, and even lent us a charger so we could charge our camera before the train came. There is so many little local owned cafes on this street with great views that I don’t think you can go wrong but it was nice to support a smaller cafe.

Hanoi for Coffee is a quiet, cozy café on the calm side of Train Street — the perfect place to enjoy the train without the chaos and crowds. It’s run by a sweet older couple who are incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. They don’t pressure or pull you in like many other places — they simply smile, say hello, and are truly grateful if you decide to stop by. No pushing, no begging — just sincere hospitality.

The drinks are delicious and come out quickly, and the prices are very reasonable. The owner even helps you find the perfect seat for the best view of the train, and they’ve thoughtfully put up a board with all the train times, which is super useful.

There’s plenty of seating, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the entire experience feels warm and authentic. It’s a place run with love — and it shows.

Highly recommended if you want a peaceful, honest, and lovely spot to enjoy...
