Nhà Hàng Phương Nam — Restaurant in Hà Nội

The staff are friendly, the decoration is warm and cosy. It seems like at the room I sat, they only have tables for 4 to 6 people so if you're going with a group more than 6 people, yours group have to split out to more than 1 table or trying to stuff more than 6 people to a table. The foods are all South Viet Nam dishes, their taste is OK, but some dishes the main ingredient is really poor like the “Stick Rice Dove”, there’s hardly any dove meat in that dish so when I eat it I only feel like I’m eating a dish of sticky rice with a tiny bit grinded pork meat. The price according to me is a little bit expensive comparing to their abundance. If you want to truly experience southern dishes with a full stomach, I would recommend you to try street foods, their main ingredients are much tastier and much more abundant, but their price might only be 1/5 of price here. There are hot pot dishes which I've not experienced, may be you guys want to try that first, they might be more plentiful than the combo we ordered. Lastly, there is no private room,so the restaurant is suitable for family or a group of friends, but for a couple who want a quiet environment to talk and have a privacy moment I would not recommend...

Came here for lunch. Did not do hot pot so can’t speak to that. The goby fish sticks were okay but seemed messy and a bit dirty. The pork and rice dome dish was okay - the tiny portion of pork was incredibly salty and the rice just okay. The Viet pancake was also okay, on the sweet side due to the coconut they use and the pork didnt have alot of flavor to counter it. I would say try dishes other than pork since it lacked flavor in general in my opinion. Probably one of my least desirable eats in Hanoi. I recommend lazily sampling street food places instead for better prices, vibes, and a ton...

Hình như có nhiều chi nhánh thì phải :) Chi nhánh này nằm gần ngã tư 3/2 với Lý Thường Kiệt, dễ thấy lắm:). Quán cơm đầu hẻm và quán bò bán chung:)) Ăn bò thì ngồi bàn cao, tụi mình đi buổi trưa nên vắng hoe à, bởi vậy mà không bị xô bồ, không gian thoáng mát thoải mái tụ họp.. Chắc chắn là quán này đặc trưng về các thể loại bò rồi hen, khoảng 520k/0.5 kg, thăn nội, thăn ngoại, bắp bò lụi sả dĩa nào dĩa nấy đem ra tảng tảng bò :)) Không thích tự nướng thì quán sẽ nướng giùm cho mình. Các loại bò hầu như là nước ướp đều giống nhau cả, nên mới đầu mình ăn thấy thích lắm luôn, vì khá tươi và ướp thấm, nhưng về sau bắt đầu thấy hơi nhàm:)) Quán cũng chẳng hướng dẫm cách nướng sao cho ngon nữa :)) đúng chất tự xử luôn. Nhìn chung là lạ miệng, đáng thử:). Các món không phải nướng thì hơi chán, vắng nhưng đến cơm chiên cũng không có, mì xào ngon nhưng là mì gói, bò bằm bánh đa thì bò đâu chả thấy, chỉ thấy cay quá trời cay :))) đúng chất ăn lót dạ đợi đám bò kia nướng chín.. 150k/ người là no lăn...
