We live right across the street. Thai Opera has been so far a very terrible neighbor. They put on repeat an 1-min audio clip for promo in loud volume everyday from 10am to 9pm. That's noise pollution.
And it's not even the first time. Last time it was trashy upbeat music, also all day long, 7 days a week. We gently suggested them to turn it down a bit and face the speakers toward another direction as we had an ill elderly in our home. They turned down for 2 songs and then put it even louder.
For this time, we called them to complain yesterday as this promo on repeat thing had been going on for over 1 week already. Everyone in our building is sick of it. We said if they don't do it properly this time we'd call the police. And guess what, they managed to put it in lower volume until the end of the day. And now here it comes again, full power. We're calling the police after finishing this review.

Read moreWe had high expectations for Thai Opera in Hanoi, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the Pad See Ew with beef, and it was clear that the dish had been rushed by the chef. The beef was so overcooked that it felt like chewing gum—tough, rubbery, and completely unenjoyable.
When we first raised our concerns with the staff, they simply ignored us and never followed up. It was as if they didn’t care about customer feedback at all. We ended up not finishing our food and, upon asking for the bill, we once again voiced our concerns about the dish. However, the staff showed no interest in addressing the issue or making things right.
This level of service, combined with poorly executed food, makes it clear that we won’t be returning. This was our first and last visit to Thai Opera. Would...
Read moreI had the worst Thai food ever. I came here for a quick meal since it was quite late (around 8 PM) and ordered Pad See Ew. The beef was overcooked and extremely dry, and the noodles were undercooked.
After a few bites, I asked the waiter to check the beef. He said he would ask the kitchen but never came back. Eventually, we couldn’t wait any longer, so we decided to pay. Before leaving, we asked again why the beef was so bad. We expected them to redo the dish or at least offer a discount, as most restaurants would if shown how bad the food was—but nope. The waitress simply took a photo, apologized, and we still had to pay full price for this disappointing dish.
The price wasn’t cheap either, so I’d recommend trying another restaurant instead. I honestly don’t understand how they got so many...
