A highly rated option for a casual chic dining experience. Though my particular night almost all the customers were tourists, the food remains noteworthy and the cocktails more so. Cash, credit card and probably e-wallet payment options. English spoken and the menus have English subtitles. Their fresh (not fried) spring rolls with white fish were good but I would have enjoyed a little more fish and a little less greenery in each bite. Still, with the garlic rice vinegar dipping sauce they were enjoyable. I was disappointed there was only one per serving, cut into a somewhat awkward three pieces instead of in half. Pumpkin soup is rich and creamy and enjoyable on a cooler evening. The steamed mussels were much different than I expected, however. They were served in a very rich cream sauce and adorned with a considerable level of onions and cabbage cooked into the sauce. Perhaps a French/Vietnamese fusion of sorts? The garlic toast served with it was good for sopping up some of the extra sauce but the sauce was so rich I couldn't finish it. Cocktails are tasty and elegant. The passion fruit and basil was good, heavy on the passion fruit taste at first but giving way to a bit of a bitter basil-y taste towards the end I cared less for. The spicy cocktail was delicious from beginning to end and beautifully garnished with fresh edible (I hope!) flowers. Great care evidenced in the creation of both. Prices here are definitely on the high side, particularly for the size of the portions. But if you want to spend a little extra for a slightly nicer ambiance (open air as well as a second floor indoor dining area) and don't mind being surrounded by (other) tourists, this is a nice option.

Beautifully decorated restaurant on the upper side of the Old Quarter. It's very popular with tourists because their menu offers many choices ranging from local dishes to Pizza Margherita. So, if some in your party want to explore local dishes while others miss their foods from at home, this place will have everyone leaving happy. I do recommend getting a reservation if you want a guaranteed seat. We came here with a group of 14 people to celebrate the last night together of our two week long Vietnam tour. Our guide had set up the reservation for us. Upon arrival, we had a beautiful long table set up for us and our main waitress, Yen, greeted us. Normally with such a large group, you get either a fixed menu or limited choices for drinks and food, but here they let us pick à la carte. Yen made individual notes for each seat and kept all checks separated. She made sure that all of our drinks (mostly cocktails) were on the table before the food came out of the kitchen. She made our evening go so smoothly, and our experience was definitely enhanced by the excellent service. We all loved our cocktails, shared appetizers and main courses. We are grateful to have had such a wonderful group dinner on our last tour night here. Thank you!

In short: Do not eat here if you have food intolerances (especially celiac disease). My experience in detail: When I ate there for the first time, I showed my Vietnamese GF card, was confirmed that fried vegetables with rice and peanut sauce were gluten-free, ordered it and the dish was good. On the second visit, I showed my menu again and wanted to order the exact same dish. I was told that the peanut sauce contained gluten. When I then informed them that it was served to me as "gluten-free" on the last visit and asked for the package to check the ingredients, it turned out that unfortunately they didn't have any peanut sauce that day (what a coincidence...). As a substitute, I was given soy sauce, which definitely contained gluten. Now very skeptical about their knowledge, I asked what spices were used for the vegetables. The by now annoyed waitress rolled her eyes and insisted without asking the kitchen that only oil was used. That was a blatant lie, because there were lots of spices visible in the oil and the dish tasted spicy (my husband tried it). I found the behavior cheeky and unprofessional and didn't touch my food.

Outstanding Service by Grizz – A Truly Memorable Dining Experience

We are a group of tourists from Singapore, and we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to Grizz, a restaurant trainee who made our dining experience truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Grizz displayed outstanding attention to detail, genuine care, and remarkable patience. He was consistently courteous, professional, and always greeted us with a warm, sincere smile that made us feel welcome and at ease.

Grizz was always attentive and willing to listen to our requests, ensuring that every need was met with great care. His service was not only efficient but also heartfelt and sincere. It was clear that he put in his very best to make our experience pleasant and memorable. We were genuinely touched by his dedication and commitment to excellent service.

On top of that, the food was very well prepared and absolutely delicious — every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The ambience of the restaurant was equally impressive — warm, inviting, and tastefully designed. It is truly one of the best dining environments we have ever come across.

Thanks to Grizz’s exceptional service, the quality of the food, and the wonderful setting, we had an unforgettable experience. We will definitely return the next time we are in town and will be recommending this restaurant to our friends and fellow travelers.

Grizz is a true gem and a shining example of sincere and professional hospitality. We sincerely hope his efforts are recognized and appreciated.

Thank you once...

For our group of 10 tourists this was our last night in Vietnam. Upon arrival we were greeted in Dutch by our waiter, Grizz. He had picked this up from his father, who had worked in the Netherlands. After being seated, Grizz took our orders, double-checking with the table to make sure that no mistakes had been made. Softdrinks were priced at nearly twice what we were used to, the mains were only slightly more expensive. The mains were served fairly quickly, the portions appeared small but were more than enough for the average customer. Our experience at other restaurants was that often there was a lot of food left over. I had the Buffalo luk luk and fom the first bite I was met by a taste sensation. The bowl was a mix of buffalo meat, potato pieces and vegetables, brought to taste by a mix of spices. The taste left you wanting more, the balance was perfect. By the time I had finished I had had enough. My wife had ordered the same, for her the portion was slightly too much. For desert I ordered the crème brûlée, my wife a couple of scoops of ice cream. My dessert was a Kermit the frog colour green. The first bite was something like I had never tasted before, this was definitely the best crème brûlée I have ever had and a must have when dining here. The price of 756k Dong was very reasonable. This is a restaurant...
