A highly rated option for a casual chic dining experience. Though my particular night almost all the customers were tourists, the food remains noteworthy and the cocktails more so. Cash, credit card and probably e-wallet payment options. English spoken and the menus have English subtitles.
Their fresh (not fried) spring rolls with white fish were good but I would have enjoyed a little more fish and a little less greenery in each bite. Still, with the garlic rice vinegar dipping sauce they were enjoyable. I was disappointed there was only one per serving, cut into a somewhat awkward three pieces instead of in half.
Pumpkin soup is rich and creamy and enjoyable on a cooler evening. The steamed mussels were much different than I expected, however. They were served in a very rich cream sauce and adorned with a considerable level of onions and cabbage cooked into the sauce. Perhaps a French/Vietnamese fusion of sorts? The garlic toast served with it was good for sopping up some of the extra sauce but the sauce was so rich I couldn't finish it.
Cocktails are tasty and elegant. The passion fruit and basil was good, heavy on the passion fruit taste at first but giving way to a bit of a bitter basil-y taste towards the end I cared less for. The spicy cocktail was delicious from beginning to end and beautifully garnished with fresh edible (I hope!) flowers. Great care evidenced in the creation of both.
Prices here are definitely on the high side, particularly for the size of the portions. But if you want to spend a little extra for a slightly nicer ambiance (open air as well as a second floor indoor dining area) and don't mind being surrounded by (other) tourists, this is a...

Read moreFor our group of 10 tourists this was our last night in Vietnam. Upon arrival we were greeted in Dutch by our waiter, Grizz. He had picked this up from his father, who had worked in the Netherlands. After being seated, Grizz took our orders, double-checking with the table to make sure that no mistakes had been made. Softdrinks were priced at nearly twice what we were used to, the mains were only slightly more expensive. The mains were served fairly quickly, the portions appeared small but were more than enough for the average customer. Our experience at other restaurants was that often there was a lot of food left over. I had the Buffalo luk luk and fom the first bite I was met by a taste sensation. The bowl was a mix of buffalo meat, potato pieces and vegetables, brought to taste by a mix of spices. The taste left you wanting more, the balance was perfect. By the time I had finished I had had enough. My wife had ordered the same, for her the portion was slightly too much. For desert I ordered the crème brûlée, my wife a couple of scoops of ice cream. My dessert was a Kermit the frog colour green. The first bite was something like I had never tasted before, this was definitely the best crème brûlée I have ever had and a must have when dining here. The price of 756k Dong was very reasonable. This is a restaurant...
