Having tried the steak at the competitor next door, I’d say while the taste here is decent, the other place edges out slightly in terms of overall quality. The dining space here is fairly decent, with three floors that can each accommodate around 10 to 15 guests, and customer turnover seems steady. The female owner appears to manage the restaurant well, but since we visited during peak hours, we did notice a few slip-ups.
We chose to sit on the second floor since it had air conditioning, unlike the first floor (there’s also an outdoor seating option), and the third floor wasn’t open that day. However, even with the aircon running, it struggled to cool the space effectively due to the heat and the crowded conditions. There were only one or two electric fans available, and they were already in use, so it still felt quite warm even sitting near the air conditioner.
With the high volume of customers, the food took a bit longer to arrive with over 10 minutes. I understand that steak sets can take some time, but even the iced tea took more than five minutes to be served. It seemed that because we were seated on the second floor, the staff opted to bring up multiple orders at once to save trips, which led to the longer wait.
My friend’s dish was served just fine, but my order had some noticeable issues: The sauce had spilled out a bit, and the egg was overcooked and stuck to the tray, likely due to the kitchen rushing to keep up with orders. Unlike the competitor, which provides an extra bowl of sauce, here you’re only given standard condiments like Chinsu to customize your meal.
After we finished eating, my friend ordered extra eggs and fries for a small snack, but the waiter mistakenly brought us another full set instead. We had to correct the order, but to their credit, they fixed it right away. Interestingly, we also found out that the extra fries were free here, which I think is a smart business tactic to encourage repeat visits.
Overall, the mistakes we experienced seemed mainly due to the restaurant being busy, but honestly, they should be used to these situations by now, given the steady customer flow. While the issues weren’t too serious and were handled promptly, there’s definitely room for...
Read moreI was there for dinner. The place is always full. I parked the motorbike on the other side of the road and there was a guy there to watch them. Inside, everything was slippery and it was kind of oily everywhere. I waited until the customers on the table left and sat there. But the staff didn't clean it until I called for them or else they just ignored me totally. The staff was not friendly, most of the time they screamed at each other or complained to each other. Food was not as good as it was before. There was not enough sauce. The beef was salty, other things were quite bland, and the...
