First off, food is great, everything is centered around eating great beef and they did well taste and broth flavor wise.
But, the queue is terrible (food takes 20 minutes to arrive and this is a hotpot place so it’s all fresh/raw), staffs can never be found unless you started walking around the place to catch one in the middle of dashing elsewhere. The few staffs I interacted with doesn’t know anything about the dishes I ordered (and I’m just asking simple questions about what I wanted to order).
The vibe is barebone to keep cost down, I am fine with it but this level of service makes me feel like I need to get out of here quick. (There’s no food to focus on eating, so the lack of decoration just makes it terrible to sit there looking at the pot).
Pricing is terribly not worth it, I had a 400k/pax dinner for two (I ended up having a second dinner after this). All in all, if you really want to have Chinese beef hotpot and can plan a few days in advance, go for it, it’s within consideration. Else, this place is a forgettable hotpot in my list of impulsive dinning locations. I really wished they ran the place better. Anyway, back to...
Read moreI recently had the chance to dine at this place, and overall, I found the experience to be fairly average.
The location is definitely a strong point — it sits right next to one of the busiest shopping malls in Saigon, which naturally draws in a good amount of foot traffic. However, due to the prime location, the space is quite cramped and enclosed. As a result, the hot pot smell lingers heavily, and it sticks to your clothes and hair after just a short time, which can be a bit off-putting.
As for the food, nothing really stood out to me except for their homemade beef balls — those were quite unique and well-executed. The rest of the dishes didn’t leave a strong impression, though that could partly be due to my personal taste preferences.
Service-wise, it was a mixed bag. Some staff members were attentive and enthusiastic, while others seemed disengaged and offered little support.
All in all, I wouldn’t rate it highly compared to other hotpot places in the same price range. That said, it’s still worth a visit at least once for...
Read moreI made a reservation for a table for 6 people last Saturday at the restaurant at 7PM, but when we arrived at 7PM, the restaurant said there was no table and asked us to wait. After waiting for 40 minutes to be seated, we asked the staff 4-5 times when our table would be ready, but they kept telling us to wait because other customers hadn't finished their meals yet. The breaking point was when I asked one last time, and the staff said the customers at the table had finished eating but refused to leave, and they asked us to be understanding because they didn't know what to do. I explained that I had booked the table for 7PM, and it's the restaurant's responsibility to handle such situations, not keep us waiting indefinitely. I don't know if the food here is good, but we were extremely disappointed with the way the staff responded, so we decided to leave after waiting for our reserved table for 45 minutes. After we left, we encountered another family who had a reservation for 7:30PM, but they also couldn't get a table for the...
