Walked into this restaurant as it was a quaint looking restaurant nestled in the CBD district. Greeted with a warm welcome by the waiter who could speak fluent English and was attentive to our order. It’s hard to come by a server who serves with a heart, especially in such a fast paced environment. One of them actually took time and listen to one of their regular customer’s day at work. Such a gem.
Food came with a regular portion that can feed 2 person if you are a small to medium sized eater. Blacken chicken was aromatic and juicy. The charred outer layer was marinated with an array of Mediterranean spices. Mash potatoes was on point, fluffy with a touch of butter. It rounds up the dish and made it complete. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good evening wine down paired with properly prepared...
Read moreI love the warm & cozy ambient of this place which is very suitable for dating or to meetup with a small group of friends/colleagues.
As for the food, I really enjoyed the Clam Chowder, the Classic Meatloaf and the Blackened Sea Bass. The Risotto was on the bland side and could have used a bit more flavors (though the texture was excellent). Luckily, the restaurant do offer Tabasco aside from salt & pepper and the added spice & kick was just what I needed.
The Chocolate brownie was also very nice and I loved how gooey the center was.
For two people, I reckon that 2-3 dishes are enough as the portions are rather big (thank God it wasn't one of those pretentious "fine-dinning" restaurants where the plates are 10 times bigger than...
Read moreThere were many great things about this restaurant but our meals were lacking Mediterranean flavors. The cucumber yogurt soup was very thick and seemed more like a tasty dip than soup. The soup was refreshing and full of flavors. We ordered the New Zealand beef filet medallions and a lamb gyro. The lamb gyro was served plain and lacked Mediterranean flavors. We added some of the thick cucumber soup on the gyro and that helped. As for the beef filet medallions they were very plain and served on a bed of tasteless couscous and grilled vegetables. Everything on the beef filet dish needed salt. Overall it wasn’t bad but it certainly wasn’t the Mediterranean taste we expected. The service was good and the restaurant was...
