Unfortunately we had a quite terrible overall experience here. We originally sat outside since the waiter told us that was all that was available. It was quite hot, and we noticed some other people go inside and up. We asked again, and they said they had an a/c room. We went inside, but they had us wait in a room without a/c while they prepared the other room. We had to ask several times if the room was ready, and some of the staff seemed to have no idea what was going on. Finally, they took us to another room, which was also hot (a/c just switched on), and then waited. 30 mins for water to come out, and still no beer. We asked about it, and they told us it takes time to pour the flights. Keep in mind, they probably had 2-3 other customers at this time. Ended up waiting 45 mins for our beer flights to arrive, and by the time they did, they were already warm, as they were surely poured earlier and then just sat there. Trying 7 beers, several were quite decent - the chili stout and hazy IPA in particular. The milkshake IPA was way too sweet.
The food unfortunately took even longer. The ribs were decent - at least nicely tender, but the steak was disappointing as it was dry and overcooked despite being very pink in the center. Not sure how it was cooked. Microwave? The pasta dish was a miss, as it was intended for the kids, but despite their promise that it wasn’t spicy, included quite a bit of chili flakes. The staff was confused throughout the meal, but also generally still pleasant. I felt a bit sorry for them to be honest.
Overall, over 2 hours for a single flight of beer and some mediocre/bad bar food. Terrible, especially considering quite expensive price...
Read moreA waste of time, a waste of calories, and a waste of money. Negative stars if possible.
Food: only the ribs were decent, all other dishes were a disappointment. The beer was not memorable either. Tried to order the shrimp but they said they were out of shrimp since yesterday. You can literally walk a block to buy shrimp but since yesterday no one managed to restock? Unacceptable.
Service: completely incompetent little kids serving customers. Confirmed with the staff twice that the pasta wasn’t spicy but they still added red crush peppers. Kids spat it out and cried for water.
Service + Atmosphere: Outside was too hot, with only one fan that was pointed at another table. We requested for another fan but they didn’t have it so we got up to leave. And then they said they have an ac room but it has to be set up. They brought us to the second floor and turned on one ac while they set up our table on the third floor. But the ac was very weak and it was getting difficult to breathe so we opened the window. Then someone else came in and turned on the second ac, which we were previously told was broken. After 15+ minutes we asked when will the room be ready and they said another 15 minutes. We said we are not waiting 30 minutes for a table and suddenly they said it’s ready. Everyone is so disorganized and has no idea on anything. The third floor was even hotter than the second because they said they just turned it on. Why they didn’t turn on the ac when they were setting up is beyond me. Took 45 minutes to get our drinks and an hour to get our food. Truly our worst...
Read moreThey pretend to sell you a 300mL beer and bring you a 240mL. Wouldn’t recommend a place run by such stingy people! Dear Seamus, Thank you for taking the time to make me a detailed answer to my puzzled and angry comment. I have nothing against foam, on contrary. Foam in some countries, Czech Republic e.g. when thick enough, is even considered as a benefit, preserving the beer's aroma and its sparkleness. I even don't have anything against expensive beer, although like everyone else, I don't like to pay more than what I think I ought to. Here you reply with a good story about metric system and imperial system. Great! But Vietnam doesn't use Imperial measures. And 0,5 cm above the pour line of a glass which contains 240 mL does not make 300 mL but 250 mL at the most, unless this glass has a very large diameter, which was not the case. If I'm served 250 mL and the menu mentions 250 mL fine with me. But if the menu mentions 300 mL and I'm served 250 mL, I can't understand, unless on the menu you tell us this fine gentleman story about the 5 cL hidden above the pour line, in a foam which volume doesn't become the same volume of beer afterward. In the end, it doesn't matter, as I have been taught a good lesson, learnt it and won't come back to your...
