Al Fresco's Xuân Thủy — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘, 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃!

We were here last Sunday after have visited a really bad BBQ restaurant. 💀 So we were desperate for some any kind of good food. However, since we were all dressed as homeless people that day, it was really hard to find a restaurant in Thao Dien, that would be suitable for our dining wishes. We saw Al Fresco's and thought that the place exuded a family-friendly energy and decided to visit. That was the unexpected best choice of the whole evening!

🍝 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝: We ordered Thai Seafood Spaghetti, Rib Eye Steak, Quesadillas with Chicken & Cheese, and Caesar Salad to share. The presentation of all the dishes were simple, but neat and very appetizing. All the dishes were tasty! The most remarkable part was the Rib Eye - I'm very skeptical towards beef in Vietnam, since most medium-range restaurants don't know how to process it, so just the fact that the kitchen managed to cook the steak perfectly rare was great, but holy, the quality of the meat was just a dimension beyond!

💵 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞: The price of each dish was ranging from 100K to 500K VND, but it's fairly reasonable considering the expat district the restaurant was located in.

🤵 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞: The most beautiful part that I want to emphasize is how every single person who serviced us that evening showed genuine glee and readiness to do their job. We had my little 2-year-old nephew with us, who was acting like a BRAT, but the host/manager did such a fantastic job in keeping him calm, and even distracted him for a while by giving him balloons and carrying him around, so we could have some peace to eat for some minutes. You don't even get to witness this kind of service in some high-end restaurants, so the staff was L-O-V-E-L-Y. ❤

🌟 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭: This restaurant deserves all the praise and recognition it gets. The easiest 5 stars rating I have made this year, and I will be back soonest! So if you want relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, great food, and marvelous service - head over to Al Fresco's today!

Was disappointed by the ribs which if you know how to cook ribs...You know these were boiled....Tasteless, fall off the bone and slathered with sauce to add some flavor. Also ordered a steak...Which wasn’t quite paper thin...But pretty damn close to it. Was cooked per order...Which no doubt took just two to three minutes to do due to the slim slice of steak. I will admit that the veggies that came with the steak were good but hard to indorse something you weren’t really impressed by. I understand I’m in Vietnam and shouldn’t expect much when it comes to meals other than Pho...But if ur going to charge the prices you do and offer the low level of...

I went to many Alfresco restaurants in Hcmc and this one was the worst. Came at the time they had power cut, the place was a mess, from the manager to the staffs and security guards all acted so impolite and unprofessional. They threw the menu in front of us, walked away, acted like we did not exist, the manager stood right next to me and shouted the staffs to move tables outside, looked at me and ignored. The staffs were less rude a bit but did not give any care at all except following their manager words of shouting. Only one guy from the kitchen came out to talk to us but I did not want to be served at this kind of place any more so we left. Never go...
