We thought the shop was roadside so we got confused when we arrived, but you actually have to walk in through the gate to the seating area. The locals are pro, but we had a lot of trouble eating it with only chopsticks (we are chopsticks user but they’re not adequate for this dish). We didn’t try asking for other cutlery though. They already didn’t give us enough plates so we had to ask for extra😂 Wrap the banhxeo in leaves before dipping in sauce to avoid absolutely looking out of place Everything about it was easily 5 stars, except how hard it was to actually eat so come prepared for real local experience

A very unassuming place try out these Saigon delicacies: Banh Khot & Banh Xeo. Like what many of the other comments mentioned, this place is behind a gate into a residential area. We loved the Banh Khot, these are tiny pancakes topped with fresh prawns and coconut milk. The Banh Xeo would be something to try for first timers. It is a cripsy pancake filled with bean sprouts and meat. it is on the oiler side. We had these in the afternoon and the little tentage and iced tea was a respite against the scorching hot sun.

hidden spot for delicious and crispy banh xeo. when u arrive u might think its closed but you have to walk past the metal gates, into the residential alley and its at the end of the alley on the right. local family run eatery with tiny tables and stools but it tastes clean and they were so friendly! UPDATE: after talking to the owner, he said they are closed on the 1st and 15th day of the lunar month because that’s vegetarian day. just FYI for anyone thinking of heading down

Great delicious Bánh Xèo and Bánh Khọt. Both were crispy and flavourful. They give you lots of herbs and lettuce to wrap and eat, an authentic and traditional style that I love. The summer roll is also good if you like that dish, although the dipping sauce was a bit sweet.

Note that their kitchen is not on site but in their house nearby. I was looking for the kitchen to judge their cooking before ordering but it was out of sight. The owner phones our order to his family to prepare and bring out the food. The price is...
