Bún Riêu Cua Ốc Cô Thủy — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, but it was one of the most loving experiences in Ho Chi Minh City.

This version of the soup doesn’t emphasize much on tomatoes much, compared to the one I tasted in Hanoi. The thin-layered soup binds all the strong-flavored ingredients, such as snails and other herbs.

They served the soup and its condiments on a separate plate, which made it easy to measure how many additional elements were to your liking.

Satisfactory bowl of bun rieu here. Broth was too sweet for my taste, but they give a lot of lime to cut it. Nice quantity of fresh veggies and herbs. Meat quality was decent - the snails in particular were pretty good for simple place like this. And of course, it’s a bargain for the quantity.

Full of locals - always a good sign. Just note there is no a/c and it is quite stuffy inside. Also, like many local places, not the cleanest. Just forget about it and...

My last day in Vietnam after a 10 day stay, and this is by far, they best thing I've eaten. So glad that I went! The food stall is small, tucked away in a little alley..this seafood noodle lady will blow ur taste buds away... the broth is so so delcious served with rice noodles, steamed pork sausage, tomatoes, crab cake, snails, and congealed pork blood. You can ask for everything or tailor ur bowl........
