Cơm quê Mười Khó — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Given the money spent and the reputation, this is an unpleasant experience. The food was ok, quite good and authentic. The space is ok. The security men were nice. But what I cannot stomach was the service.

They don't seem to know what they're doing and there's no clear communication whatsoever. I told one of the waiters I wanted to have a takeaway because I couldn't finish my food, they brought the food in the kitchen, and apparently another waiter thought it's a throwaway so they threw my food away. They didn't even tend to me enough as a waiting customer to notice the mistake. The manager only said sorry, please have understanding blah. No offering. She did said [well] they can cook another portion for me but that'd take a lot of time. So, I would waste my money, my temper, and more of my time with this experience?? An example from other better serviced restaurants would be offering the customers some quick takeaway or a discount if they ever return to the restaurant, or a partial refund of the bill.

Never return to this place....

The price is for Viet Kieu and foreigners. Locals should stay away from this place. Food was alright but small portion. No AC. Everything looks cheap because they want to keep the 'rural' atmosphere. That's a smart way to save money and at the same time, they can take money from the 'rich' ppl who want to experience this kind of atmosphere. LOL. But the most disappointing thing for me was the service quality. For this price, I expected a much better service and it was the worst among the restaurants I had been to during my stay in Vietnam. The servers seemed unfocused. Brought out the wrong order but didnt apologize. Gave me the wrong bill. I was also shocked by the price of the rice noodle. $22K for a small portion (1 person). Conclusion: I don't feel like it was worth the price I paid compared to many...

Just a 5 Star lil gem. Nice homey restaurant, staff were friendly & the place was clean & cool. Food is based on home cooked food assuming from the middle of VN & this is roughly translated by the name of the restaurant. On the menu there was soooo much to choose from. I am not a fish fan but i ate 2 fish dish & luv it. Different & unique taste & flavours I discovered here. Well done! Will be back. One of the rarities on VN cuisines in Saigon. If there is a need to improve maybe the waiters serving could look less depressing or sad or more enthusiastic when serving. Came back again and was disappointed for the dish we wanted to try wasn’t available the first time we visited again wasn’t available again the second time. These dishes was in our opinion...
