Read moreEverything at this restaurant is perfect. The staff members are fantastic, their attitude is great, they look after the customers and advise them on the menu, and always welcome everyone with a big smile. After the first time my husband and I came here, we decided this cafe would be our local for brunch (and also dinner the last few nights in Ho Chi Minh). I would love to thank all the members of the team for their professional approach and great service 10/10 ⭐️ And a special mention to Manh, who was our waitress mainly every day and he went beyond and above to make our time there truly enjoyable. His attention to detail and care for us was top-notch 🙏🏻 Now down to the food: their brunch menu has all the options you could imagine from English breakfast, to different kind of pancakes, avocado toast, eggs in any style (poached, fried, omelette) to sandwiches, bagels, Buddha bowls and salads. Of course, they also offer sweet treats, coffees, smoothies, and teas. The menu is perfect for breakfast/brunch, lunch, and also dinner, as they offer dishes such as noodles with beef, pork, chicken, and rice bowls. I tried the vegetables omelette and it was devine! It was packed with loads of vegetables and came with toast and butter. Their granola was also lovely, although a bit sweet for me. For dinner, I tried their chicken salad and their veggie bagel with hummus, and they were lovely, too. Their coffee is beautiful, and I was very happy they had almond milk. Definitely try their fresh juices too, full of all the good veggies and fruits. My husband also tried the pancakes and LTB sandwich, and he loved them. Last but not least, the cafe has a great atmosphere, with two zones (inside and a terrace) and you can come here to work on your laptop too as it is pretty quiet. Good WiFi, free water to deal with the heat of the city, A/C, and good toilets too. Honestly, it's a...

Vibe: 30/70 mix of locals and foreigners respectively. Small, cute cafe with simple decorations and setup.
Customer service: This must be the winning strategy for this restaurant as the food isn’t great at all — (I will get to that in a minute). The young waiters and waitresses are fluent in English, helpful, and respectful.
Food: It’s unfortunate I did not capture the pancakes and English Breakfast that I got, but feel free to browse pictures from other diners as it’s the same point. — The English Breakfast is not a full-out version, which only comes with bacon, egg, bread, butter, and grilled tomatoes — the rest had to be ordered separately if one wanted avocado/hashbrown, etc. For the price of 160k, what was served is not even up to par of “bánh mì chảo” in Vietnam for 1/3 the price. Also, the taste of what’s on the plate itself lacks character, and just plain sad — bread is hard, egg is mediocre, bacon is overcooked, tomatoes needed seasoning… — Pancakes is another level of sad. The essence of pancake is the fluffiness and perfectly sweet comfort food that it brings. Mine was just dry, is all that I can remember. I drenched mine in the chocolate syrup I ordered but that still did not help.
Overall: Melbourne Cafe stands out due to its amazing location, friendly vibe, and focus on customer service. However, the food it serves lack character, as though it comes from someone who does not understand the essence of Western food. The price Melbourne Cafe charges for the quality of food it serves does...
