I think one of the best Donkatsu & rice curry in town. Good and wide food options. It’s also a real good thing that you can create and combine your own dish. Ambiance is perfect and service staff are friendly and quick. Foods are always warm and freshly served. The only thing is it’s rather not so affordable but the portions are really big. Could be better if they could offer smaller portions for a cheaper price for those who can’t eat too much (although they have half rice portion, curry can still be too much). Will be a regular here.
I gotta edit. Just as it’s starting to be my favourite, everything felt worse. Lunch time is worst, not enough seats so you will be seated in those SUPER SMALL SQUARE TABLES with low seats. I wonder if they realise they’re using huge plates and how crampy it gets when you eat. It’s very uncomfortable and you don’t even wanna order more things than one dish. Good food yes, but when experience ruins it all, that kind of price you pay for a curry isn’t...

I have to say Coco is one of the best Japanese curry restaurants in town. The quality has remained consistent over the years; the last time I ate there was just as good as the first time.
Service quality is stable and pleasant for a chain restaurant, catering to everyone. The dishes are served exactly as they are depicted in the menu. However, the salad could use a bit of improvement compared to the other dishes.
Tip: I think the portion sizes might be large for some Vietnamese customers, so it would be helpful if they are aware of the option to choose less rice to avoid wasting food.
While Coco is doing a great job maintaining its standards, it might be beneficial to occasionally step out of their comfort zone and offer one new dish every quarter or so.

Read moreLet's start by saying I LOVED THIS RESTAURANT CHAIN! During our Japan trip, we absolutely fell in love with CoCo and was sadden on our last day knowing we wouldn't be able to eat anymore Japanese curry until our next Japan adventure but much to our surprise, there was one in Ho Chi Minh! Seeing this store just instantly got our mouth drooling with excitement knowing we're about to feast on that curry again.
We ordered the classic pork katsu with curry rice and drinks and nothing DISAPPOINTED. The katsu was crispy and moist inside and the curry had a perfect balance of sweetness and heat with all the good curry flavour. Flavours and textures all on point! We almost placed another order just so we could take it back to our hotel.
Don't walk, run to this place now and enjoy a...
