Nice enough place to sit down and have some food. Friendly service and nice ambiance in the restaurant.
As I waiting for a friend, I sat down and ordered a Sapporo beer, which was served nice and cool, and tasted refreshing.
When my friend came, we went straight into the food. We ordered the Japanese Cheese Hamburger Steak dish which came with some veg and chips, the burger tasting very delicious, very yummy, and the teeny carrots also nice and tasty.... The Grilled Pork Ribs with Apple Sauce was delicious, very succulent, good meat and easy to eat. The Baked Potatoes were fine, could have had something to give it a more solid base, but it was fine. and the Creamy Salmon Cakes were to die for, very lovely filling with the salmon. My friend had a Fruit Juice and Ice cream, while I got a few more beers. With all this food one can also order a lot of salad and fresh vegetables for free from the buffet, and also some soup if one so desires....
So overall, we both were well full after the food, and well happy with our choices...... the dishes were very tasty, very filling, with lovely flavours and all well cooked. This restaurant was a highlight on my trip to HCMC, and if i am ever back I will return.
Good food, and for the amount of dishes we had and the beers, it came to a very reasonable 35 Euros, there or there abouts..... Strongly...
Read moreHm, judging from the reviews months prior, it seems like the restaurant did a good job in improving its quality of service. I only ordered a A5 Wagyu set, so I can not say for every other dish, but it came out pretty fast. I checked in at around 7:00PM, Saturday. The staff on the 3rd floor did an OK job in introducing the menu. Still, that was because I was not completely clueless in the business of different beef standards as well as cuts of a cow, plus I checked the menu beforehand. To someone who doesn't know a single thing, they will certainly get lost. Try a little slower at explaining which combo has what cuts of beef. As for the quality of the food itself, it was excellent. USDA beef is tender and soft, even more so for the Japanese beef. The cuts were seasoned properly with very nice crust from searing. You can smell the aroma of richness from the beef fat. Servicing on the 3rd floor (fairly chubby waiter with glasses) was excellent, attentive and always responded with a bright smile. And the one that came after, medium height, very thin, showed me good manners in service. Is this what they call "Omotenashi"? Recommended to my friends. Mother was very impressed too, so...
Read moreI had the buffet here on a weekend for lunch, i think it was 459k/pax and the experience was delightful.
First off, I usually dislike BBQ because I have to change clothes after the meal but this one just have a really hot stone plate and some alcohol based fire going. It makes the grilling part very personal, leaves much less smoke and overall, a surprising luxury way to enjoy a copious amount of meat.
On to the food, this place is known for its aging beef which I think is okay. It really depends on the cut so non-aging meat of a preferred cut is still better than some aging meat. Honestly, the best part of this place is its iberico pork. I had 2 beef servings and 4 iberico pork servings. Also, the fattier cuts of the pork taste like champagne. Divine, really.
Anyway, the location is lovely (my table in particular), servers are attentive, food is good except why would the pork be so much better when it’s a primarily beef place!? Also, pricing is really good, I don’t get why it’s not way...
