DATE NARIYA Vincom Landmark 81 — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I recently visited Date Nariya at Landmark 81, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. While I was initially excited to try this restaurant, the service quickly dampened my enthusiasm.

As someone who trying not to eat carbs, I requested to substitute the french fries in my meal with an extra portion of vegetables because the salad that they served its including vegetables and french fries. I even offering to pay extra for the change but the staff refused this simple request, citing rigid policies. The shift manager didn’t attempt to accommodate or offer alternative solutions, leaving me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer.

The location is great, and the menu seems appealing, but the lack of customer-centric service overshadowed any positives. If you're a Westerner, did not go to this restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re expecting flexibility or...

This restaurant is located in the Vincom mall. As of 5/9/2025 it is a meat restaurant. I didn’t see any udon or soup based noodles on the menu. It’s pricey and not that good. I had the tongue. It was super expensive and average or maybe below average? There are other Japanese BBQ restaurants in the mall, I would recommend others before this.

Best thing about this place was the staff who were extremely attentive and helpful. They took the time to patiently explained the dishes to me, gave recommendations and accommodated my various requests. Most of the dishes were good and we especially loved the Aoba beef tongue.
