We had the Wagyu set. The food was very good, but the service was not worth the price. 5M for two people.
Why bring out the next course when we haven't finished the current one? Food got cold and the table looked messy.
The waiter kept reminding us about the Free Cocktails. We didn't come to eat at a high-end restaurant worrying about the cost.
My wife didn't like the Umami Ne (very strong cocktail), but were not offered to change to another drink.
There was a big wait time between courses. We just sat there not knowing if they were gonna bring out more food.
Waiter rushed to take away my dishes while my wife was still eating. Why not wait for a bit and take them at the same time?
There's no introduction of the food (maybe the name of the dish in broken English). This is not as critical but most high-end restaurant we have been to around Saigon, waiters and waitresses speak fluent English. I am Vietnamese and find this hard to believe for the service we were expecting.
Utensils were not changed per course. Some course we though we needed chopsticks but ended up just use 1 set of knife and fork throughout the meal.
Waiters seemed to be running around not knowing what they were doing. Food needs to be served when the previous course was finished, and timing is critical.
We would recommend to check out the Noir, Quince, and An An if Tenku wants to be a...
Read moreLandmark location, stunning views, very polite and accommodating service staff. However, the from this restaurant - it is a chain restaurant. So the food is executed at a lower level and does not truly reflect the quality nor the taste of authentic Japanese food. It misses the mark on several levels. I would call it Vietnamese style sushi house - NO simplicity and “not not” high-quality. But a lot of fun looking dishes with great presentations. I noticed many local Vietnamese celebration birthdays. The quality of the foie gras is quite low quality and over cooked - the preparation of the crab is poor, and very, very small portions. They leave the crab in the shell which is hard to eat with chip sticks. The execution of the egg custard dish is lacking significantly. The WAYGU is very small cuts and not Japanese and over cooked.. It’s a much less expensive form of WAYGU. Excellent location, service and...
Read moreThe irony is that the food is actually pretty good. The staff on the other hand are terrible and destroy the whole fine dining experience. Since we arrived they tried hardly to push the set menu, not even mentioning that there is an a la carte option. When they finally brought the a la carte menu, they didn’t give us a second to think, someone was constantly standing next to the table expecting us to order immediately. Then firstly they brought some complimentary bread which they left on the table for not longer than 3 minutes until the starters came…After just receiving the starters and while chewing, they came and asked if we were ready for the main course. As soon as they cleared the table they brought the main course which was already cold…All in all it took a little over 30 minutes from arrival until being done with the food. Such a pity…competent staff could make this an...
