👍 Friendly Service and Flavorful Food at Di Mai Restaurant
We had a pleasant experience dining at Di Mai Restaurant, where the staff’s attentiveness and friendliness stood out throughout the meal.
👨🍳 Helpful and Considerate Staff
The team was welcoming and helpful right from the beginning. They took the time to introduce the dishes, gave thoughtful recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. Even during a busy period, they managed to stay on top of things with a calm and courteous attitude.
Little touches—like refilling drinks promptly, bringing fresh herbs and condiments, and clearing plates quickly—added to a smooth dining experience.
🍽️ Tasty Food with Fresh Ingredients
We really enjoyed the variety of dishes: from the well-seasoned grilled fish and flavorful beef cubes, to the vibrant platter of rolls, salads, and dipping sauces. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The food presentation was simple but clean, and portions were just right for sharing.
🌡️ A Bit Warm Indoors
One thing worth noting—the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working very well during our visit. It felt a bit warm inside, especially as the restaurant got busier. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something that might make it less comfortable on a hot day.
🌿 Relaxed, Casual Atmosphere
The setting is casual and family-friendly, with colorful dishes and some traditional decorative touches. It’s a laid-back place to enjoy familiar Vietnamese flavors with attentive service—not fancy, but satisfying and easygoing.

Now the taste, they are well-seasoned, nicely decorated, balance (like most of the Vietnamese food) and appropriately-portioned. So, if you don't pack an appertize, only order a handful of dishes (2 or 3 dishes are quite enough).
However, the price might push people away since there are obviously pricey compared to other alternatives (namely street food). But if you have the chance, I still highly recommend trying this restaurant out in case you want to experience fine dining with decent Vietnamese cuisine.
(The photos here show the inside of the restaurant. There is one piece of furniture for chuldren to play on which doesn't fit quite well with its surrounding. Don't sit next to the kitchen area, it...
Read moreI absolutely loved the Hot Stone Beef Pho here! one of the best i've had in HCM! We went on a Saturday night and managed to get a table for 9 pax! The service here was super on point !
We order 2 different rice dishes but both were not as near tasty as the other dishes. Maybe our palatte is very much used to saltier and pan fried (wok hey) taste hence it wasnt up to our expectations, considering the tastiness of the other dishes!
I loved the wing bean vegetables fried with garlic! Its my first time and i loved the crunch and the fragrance of the dish! The Tofu cubes were also very well done with a right amount of crisp on the outside and silken texture on the inside! It was so good we ate 2 portions of it!
The beef cubes were a little well done for our liking but the flavours and seasoning was on point~
We also ordered their signature dessert platter which was a good amount of the local desserts we had to try and it was amazing!
