Elisa Floating Restaurant — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I nice restaurant on a historic boat that Ho Chi Minh himself came on. The food is pricey but good, I recommend the steak. It's a nice place for a date or special occasion. The staff are friendly. The views of Ho Chi Minh are great! Yes you have other boat restaurants to choose from next to this one but this boat is extra special and worth visiting for tourism. You get to eat where Ho Chi Minh ate! I try to think back 50 years ago what this would have been like on that boat.

If you prefer a quiet evening with only piano music you'll need to call ahead and find out what time the live music begins. I couldn't hear much over the music. They play Vietnamese and American. Next time I prefer to come when there is no band playing, it's a preference though and maybe that's your thing. We ate quickly and left as we couldn't hear each other anyways. So if you want a quiet dinner then just call first and find out. 😅 To be fair it's difficult to find a quiet dinner anywhere in Sai Gon, always loud music.

It took an hour to recieve our meal and it wasn't even busy. The waiter was great though.

Our bill was over 3 million for two steak dinners and a few extras. Not to much for fine dining.

My husband's families and friends from Canada travelled to Vietnam and we chose Elisa Floating Restaurant to celebrate birthday for my mother-in-law and on of our best friends after researching many restaurants for 3 conditions: good food, good service, and traditional decorations.

I was connected to the manager named Thang Pham and he was so amazing. He supported me to choose the menu which had varied ingredients and tasty. Waiters and waitresses at the restaurant were also very supportive, cheerful, and amazing. They served the food fast and they were very patient to answer all our questions and support our needs wholeheartedly. Everyone in my group enjoyed the dinner a lot! There was also a music band every night and the singers sang beautifully.

When we arrived, the staff at the restaurant knew that we would celebrate two birthdays so they arranged a small parade with candles, music, and mascot secretly to surprise the whole team! It was so fun and touching to receive extra care for our birthday celebration. We were also given free ice creams! We had a wonderful dinner with a lot of laughs and surprises.
