Let me tell you about this hidden gem I found in Ho Chi Minh City called Quán Nướng Chị Hai. It's not fancy by any means, but that's exactly what makes it charming. It's a local spot, tucked away on a side street, and you can tell by the way everyone seems to know each other.

I ventured in because I was craving some grilled goodness, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I ordered the đậu hũ trứng non (beancurd with egg and preserved egg) - it was massive! Like, the size of a takeout container! The texture was perfect, soft and creamy from the tofu and eggs, with a savory kick from the preserved egg. And the dipping sauce? Don't even get me started. It was this sweet and spicy concoction that took everything to a whole new level.

Now, I have to be honest, the grilled vú heo (pork udder) wasn't quite my thing. The meat itself was a bit tough, but the chao (fermented soybean paste) they served with it was surprisingly delicious. Really rich and flavorful, but definitely on the salty side.

Great food and service, we had the BBQ, with beef, chicken giblets, frog and squid with vegetables. Our waiter was excellent, patient and very helpful with my lack of Vietnamese language.
