Food House SGN Restaurant — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I was charged 598,000₫ for one of the worst meals I’ve ever been served. The phở đặc biệt came with beef skin still sprouting hair, floating in a thin, lifeless broth. The “fresh herbs” were actually wilting and decaying, giving off the smell of compost.

The coconut they brought was sour and clearly cut days earlier. When I pointed it out, the waitstaff had the audacity to gaslight me, insisting that the rancid vinegar taste was “normal.” At that point it was obvious: this place survives by preying on travelers who don’t know better.

Menus are flashed at you and then whisked away so you can’t check prices. At checkout, no receipt — just a number shoved into the credit card machine. Convenient for them, not for you.
