I recently visited a coffee shop at an international airport, expecting a pleasant experience before my flight. Unfortunately, the visit was far from satisfying. From the moment I attempted to make a payment using Apple Pay, the cashier's unwelcoming demeanor set a negative tone for the entire visit. It was surprising and disappointing to encounter such an attitude in a customer-facing role, especially in an environment where first and last impressions are crucial for travelers.
The quality of food and beverages served did not redeem the poor service. Both the drink and the meal I ordered fell short of the standard one might expect from an airport establishment, known for catering to a diverse and global clientele. The lack of quality was evident, suggesting a general disregard for customer satisfaction.
To add to the discomfort, a staff member approached us with a seemingly impatient gesture for us to finish our drinks and vacate the table. This rush would have been understandable if the cafe was crowded or if we had overstayed a reasonable time limit, but neither was the case. Ironically, after we left, our table remained uncleaned , witnessing other customers navigating around the untidy space.
This experience was a letdown, especially considering the unique position of airport businesses to leave lasting positive impressions on international visitors. Unfortunately, this coffee shop missed the mark by a wide margin, highlighting the importance of hospitality and service standards that should be upheld in...
Read moreSo bad! I pointed at a burger in the cabinet as the English language is a barrier for these people even though they work at an airport. I asked for chicken burger not beef. The guy said yes, pointed at a menu item and I said ok. I later got served a soup!! When I complained he insisted that I had agreed to the item he pointed at. They did not want to make me a burger without paying for it and I wasn't happy so had to wait another 15min while they called the manager. A lady then proceeded to show me the camera footage (that showed me pointing at the cabinet burger) and said that I had nodded to the item the guy pointed out so they wouldn't do anything. She even agreed it was a miscommunication but declined my offer of half the money back and I told her I'd be leaving a bad review. Needless to say I did not touch the soup. Later when I went to leave this review the restaurant was marked as "permanently closed" with the most recent review being only a few days old. I checked again today and funny that, it was back open and I left my review. Cheeky tactic to avoid bad reviews but I didn't forget! All this over $5, disgusting...
Read moreMemos Fast Food & Drinks is a chain of fast food restaurants that offers a variety of dishes, including pho, coffee, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. The pho is a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup, made with beef or chicken broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat or tofu. The coffee is brewed with roasted beans from Vietnam, and can be served hot or iced, with or without condensed milk.
I visited the Memos Fast Food & Drinks outlet in Saigon, and I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The pho was flavorful and satisfying, with tender slices of beef and fresh herbs. The coffee was strong and aromatic, and I enjoyed the sweetness of the condensed milk. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was clean and cozy, with a modern and colorful decor.
I would recommend Memos Fast Food & Drinks to anyone who is looking for a quick and delicious meal, especially if you are a fan of pho and coffee. It is a great place to enjoy the authentic flavors of Vietnam, without...
