One day, I had a sudden craving for ice cream, so I searched on Google Maps and luckily found Kem To Mi, an ice cream store conveniently located near the main road of Cach Mang Tháng in Ho Chi Minh City.
Kem To Mi specializes in ice cream and also offers some desserts. The taste of their ice cream is exceptional. I tried three flavors: cookie, Snickers, and caramel. Each one was perfect, boasting rich and delightful flavors. The quality of the ice cream was impressive, and I am definitely looking forward to trying more flavors on my next visit.
Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, ranging from VND 60,000 to 80,000 per scoop, the quality of the ice cream justifies the cost. The premium taste and creamy texture make it well worth the price.
I would even say that the ice cream at Kem To Mi can be compared to that of Häagen-Dazs. For anyone in Ho Chi Minh City looking to satisfy their ice cream cravings, Kem To Mi is...
Read more(tieng viet o duoi) I went there at Saturday night. I ordered two flavor ice cream for 90K and ended up being charged for 97K. The staff told me that it's tax (8%VAT). I said, oh sure! I have tax number (MST) to register. The staff told me that the company's policy is that only more than 200K can report tax. I told him that this is not right. You either don't take the tax or allow customers to report the tax if you want customers to pay it. You can't take tax payment from customers and do NOT want to report to the government.
To my understanding, this violates Vietnamese tax law. You cannot ask customers to pay tax for you and reject to report it. I don't like to say that but technically speaking, the shop stole customers $ and cheated the government. Although it is not a lot, unfortunately, that made the ice cream less sweet.
Again, the place is good, the staff is good (he just follows the store's wrongful policy). Running business in Vietnam is not easy, but I still strongly believe and hope an honest business.

Read moreAll hype, only if it wasn't too average of an ice cream shop. The pettiest thing is that the scoop is measured by gram, and the servers didn't even put in the effort of making the scoop looks good. I tried the coconuts, chocolate, and salted peanut. None of them lived up to the ratings. And no, its definitely not michelin level desserts as they claim. It shares space with a restaurantthat supposedly owned by the same person? But the restaurant waiters and their attitude didn't agree, we had to sit at one of the restaurant tables and the the waiters looked at us up and down, not like they were full of guests on a Saturday night. Save your money and go...
