Restaurant Saigon: I recently had a business lunch at Le 17 Bistro at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, and it was a delightful experience. The lunch is available from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and offers a well-priced 3-course set menu at VND 300,000++ or VND 350,000++, which includes a tea or coffee.
I started with the Creamy Corn Soup (SOUPE DE MAÏS CRÉMEUSE), which was rich and flavorful, with perfectly pan-seared chicken and a drizzle of olive oil. For the main course, I chose the Grilled Sea bass (BAR GRILLÉ), which was tender and well-cooked, served with potato brandade, fresh romaine lettuce, and a delicious seafood sauce. There’s also an option to upgrade to Iberico Pork for an additional VND 150,000, which I might try next time.
Dessert was a Pineapple Rice Pudding Tartlet (TARTELETTES ANANAS RIZ AU LAIT) that was light and satisfying, accompanied by a crunchy almond tuile and creamy vanilla ice cream—a perfect way to finish the meal.
If you’re in the mood for a drink, you can add a glass of house wine for VND 150,000 - VND 190,000.
Overall, Le 17 Bistro offers a great setting for a business lunch, with a good variety of dishes, attentive service, and a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend...
Read moreThis was one of the best French meals I had whilst in Vietnam. Ordered the 3 course business lunch special for 350,000 dong alongside the glass of house white wine (I chose a lovely Vermintino) for 140,000d.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but my mind was blown! This food, the taste, the level of presentation, it was everything!
Service was efficient, kind and cheerful. I felt very comfortable eating alone as a solo female traveller. Every course was seriously good food. It’s rare that all 3 courses in a set menu will delight your tastebuds but this one did.
A “business lunch special” that would be classed as a boutique gourmet dinner dining experience in my hometown of Brisbane, Australia. I highly recommend anyone visiting HCMC to visit Le 17 Bistro for a low cost yet delightful French influenced...

The place is inside Sofitel so its vibe is excellent; quiet and private. The food meets Sofitel’s standard, even though by experience, I found it wise to avoid its pork-containing dishes. Overall, the desert here is still one of the best around (mine was a coffee cream filled donut with caramel pieces and a scoop of coffee ice cream. Out of this world.
Only downside was that it took 20 minutes for my main course to arrive, a little slow for set lunches. In any case, its value is excellent. Highly recommend. (400k/person, with Accor membership, it’s...
