This is the first time and probably the only time I'll ever write a review like this.

The food at Quan Nem Vuong is not bad but staff behaved very inappropriately simply because me and my friend looked awfully Chinese. As a matter of fact, just in case one might wonder, we are indeed, ethnically Chinese. Both my friend, a Chinese Vietnamese, and myself, a Chinese Singapore, spoke completely comprehensible Vietnamese but we were made to feel very out of place. We were ignored twice with our requests; I might be wrong but it's highly possible that the staff member simply did not see a need to reply to us in either Vietnamese or English.

Two types of sauces are offered here, a southern Vietnamese style and northern Vietnamese style due to palatal differences between the two regions. We were assumed to prefer the stronger southern style, which one would add to vermicelli in a bowl instead of dipping vermicelli straight into a full bowl of lighter sauce for the case of the northern style. Do note that this changes the taste & experience completely. We were completely capable of understanding a question regarding our preference, but were immediately assumed as incapable without even trying.

If Quan Nem Vuong feels no need to serve 'Chinese looking', 'Chinese speaking', 'Taiwanese looking' or 'non-Vietnamese oriental-looking' people, please be straightforward by putting a sign at the main entrance. That would save tons of trouble for both guests and staff members alike. I'm not giving this place 1 star because the food is still definitely...

Nem is a Vietnamese restaurant that specializes in two dishes: "nem cua be" and "bun cha." If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, this place is definitely worth checking out. The "nem cua be" is a type of spring roll that is filled with crab meat, pork, and other ingredients, while "bun cha" is a dish that features grilled pork served with rice noodles and a variety of herbs and vegetables.

The food at Nem is really good - the "nem cua be" is crispy and flavorful, while the "bun cha" is grilled to perfection and served with a tasty dipping sauce. Both dishes are authentic and delicious, and are definitely worth trying if you're looking for a taste of Vietnam.

The staff at Nem is ok, but can be a little bit crowded at rush hour. This is to be expected at popular restaurants, and can sometimes add to the atmosphere and excitement of the dining experience. However, if you prefer a quieter or more intimate dining experience, it may be best to visit Nem during off-peak hours.

In terms of ambiance, Nem has a casual and relaxed vibe that is perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The décor is simple and understated, and the restaurant has a cozy feel that is welcoming and inviting.

Overall, Nem is a great option for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a casual and relaxed setting. The "nem cua be" and "bun cha" are both delicious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Just be aware that the restaurant can get crowded at peak hours, so plan accordingly to ensure a great...

If you are looking for some traditional Vietnamese food with decent seating, air-conditioned environment and cleanly look plus most important delicious food then here is the place. Located in a quite center street, always very crowded at lunchtime, this place has a lot to offer. A lot of attention to details such as you can choose between Southern style sauce or Northern style sauce for your rice noodles and Vietnamese style BBQ pork (the key difference is the southern style one has a subtle touch of sugar to soften the taste of fish sauce while the northern style are not). Sign written explaining that once you order the kitchen start to prepare your order so your patience is highly appreciated if you want a fresh smoking hot crispy spring roll. The mini pot with a small portion of burning charcoal underneath to keep your Vietnamese style BBQ pork warm till it reach your table and still warm while you eating until the last bite. The only minor downside in my opinion is if you were there at a busy time you wouldn't see a warm welcome attitude from staffs but I would say it's understandable and minor since it's super crowded and the quality of food beats this tiny setback. Thus I definitely recommend that you come and enjoy...

Quan Nem, located on bustling Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, is a great option for satisfying your nem cua be (spring rolls made with sea crab) cravings in District 1. The restaurant boasts a casual atmosphere, perfect for a quick and delicious bite. I started with their signature nem cua be, which lived up to the hype. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and packed with fresh, flavorful crabmeat inside. The accompanying dipping sauce was a nice blend of sweet, sour, and spicy, complementing the nem perfectly. However, while the nem was the star of the show, other aspects of the dining experience could be improved. The menu is limited, focusing mainly on nem and bun cha (grilled pork with noodles). If you're looking for a wider variety of Vietnamese dishes, you might want to consider other options. Additionally, the seating is basic and can get crowded during peak hours. Overall, Quan Nem is a solid choice for a quick and tasty nem fix. However, if you're looking for a more extensive menu or a more refined dining experience, you might want to explore other restaurants in District 1.
