Malt Saigon Bar — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I don't usual go to a bar designated to serve tourists and this one does just that. You will get the decor and ambience that is typical of a pub or bar. Beyond that there isn't much more to offer. The service is lacking and substandard. The staff interaction with the customer is minimal to non-existent. Besides taking your order there isn't much else for them to do. There's a lot of standing around and chit chatting among themselves. Overall not a typical place if you're into interacting with others within the bar. Their food was bland and limited. We were offered a menu but was told half of the items on the menu were not available. Anyway, for the price they charge and the lack of service and limited menu option your money is better of some place else. If anyone is looking for a beer venue consider Pasteur street brewing company...

One of the craft beer bars in town. This place is situated in the CBD which is a bonus so you can just hop to other bars that are around this area. As a matter of fact, this is how I usually do: I came here to pregame with my friends for a few beers then hop over to either Racha Room or Stoker for dinner then Firkin for whiskies as I'm a whisky aficionado 😎. Alright, I personally know Malt owner as I used to distribute my imported craft beer here. What I like the most about Malt is the vibe and beer collection they have. On top of that they have shuffleboard and darts for those who are a fan of these sports. Well, I am one of them 😉 They also held competitions from time to time with other cooking events. Hence, you will find a lot fun here especially on weekends. Oh, did I mention about live music? Yes, they have it all. Highly recommended...

We went to eat but it was so hot. They offered to move to the bar but didn't feel that was any better and didn't want to eat at the bar. They brought the bill and charged 30,000vnd for the half glass of water that we drank. I feel like it's pretty terrible because I came specifically to review the food. If they were smart they would turn on the air-conditioning or at least apologize for the service and say don't worry about the half glass of tap water you drank. Poor environment poor service. Food maybe ok won't ever come back to try it. Stoker next door has phenomenal food; that's where we ended up eating and much more comfortable environment and much better service. Steak is amazing...
