My family and I are not the type to write reviews but we sure do read them. The Reverie Saigon is the first hotel that made us all want to return the kindness they have shown us during our 4 night stay.
STAFF- The moment we walked on the territory that’s legally the hotel’s, we were pleasantly surprised by the smiling faces that greeted us. Of course, this kind of hospitality is expected from a 5-star hotel but what makes the Reverie stand out from others is the authenticity of their nature. Each smile felt genuine and warm; every member of the staff- no matter their position- went out of their way to open a door, pull a chair and accommodate our every need. We truly felt cared for.
We experienced the stay of both their Panaroma View and Deluxe King room. The two have their own unique charm and the view is impeccable.
While not always visible, the housekeeping staff left their presence in the neatness of our rooms and the never ending supply of cold water bottles, minibar supplies, complimentary fruits and chocolate; even the placement of the floor towels and slippers were intentional and perfect. They were like invisible genies.
Mr. Phong (Cafe Cardinal Manager), Ms. Ngo, and Mr. Khoa always put a smile on our faces. We already miss them. Gentle conversation and love shown by The Reverie staff left a glow in our hearts that followed us throughout the beautiful riverside city of Ho Chi Minh. We would also like to thank Ms. Nghi and the lovely reception desk for their kindness. We even got an early check-in. It seems the reception staff could see how tired we were from our overnight flight. Much appreciated.
BREAKFAST- The number one thing I look at while booking a hotel is its breakfast. To highlight how wonderful the breakfast spread was, I would like to mention that we even dined one morning at Park Hyatt, since it is also one of the city’s best. We couldn’t help but miss our lovely Reverie. Park Hyatt didn’t even hold a candle in-front of the loyalty, the attention to detail and deliciousness the Reverie food had instilled in us. Every compliment falls short.
ARCHITECTURE and LOCATION- The grandeur of the Reverie Saigon left us in awe. The hotel is quite spacious, well lit- thanks to its floor to ceiling windows- and has a beautiful and very intentionally placed furniture. You can get a gorgeous photo everywhere. I cleared out my storage the second I checked into our room.
We underestimated the brilliant connectivity of the hotel to the riverside, shopping plazas, cafés and restaurants while booking. You can literally walk anywhere and also get into the many taxis that wait infront of the hotel. Even while talking about its location I feel compelled to mention the wonderful guard staff that helped us even when it was not expected. The tall Times Square building that the hotel shares its space with, was our North star when we felt a little lost walking the bustling streets.
As you can tell we are smitten. Ho Chi Minh city charmingly took a piece of our heart and the Reverie Saigon claimed it theirs. It lives up to its expectation and name. The word ‘Reverie’ itself means to be lost in one’s daydream, I don’t think anyone who has not been here knows how apt that is. We have internationally travelled quite a bit and stayed at renowned hotels by God’s Grace, the holistic experience the Reverie Saigon offered has by far been our best.
I hope the staff of the Reverie Saigon knows how much in love we are with them. This review is a love letter to them. See you all soon!

During our one-month trip in Saigon, we stayed in several five-star hotels across District 1, each offering their own version of luxury. But The Reverie Saigon truly holds a special place in our hearts. We were exploring different locations and came across this hotel through glowing online reviews calling it a “six-star” property, and we must say, it exceeded our expectations in almost every way.
From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby to our private check-in on the 38th floor, the hospitality was world-class. Every staff member was incredibly polite, attentive, and genuinely caring. We stayed in one of their spacious suites, which came with access to the executive lounge on the 38th floor, a quiet, refined space perfect for relaxing, working, or enjoying a meal in peace.
One of the highlights was the view from our suite, directly overlooking the bustling city and a stretch of the river. The complimentary minibar, the walk-in closets, the spacious living room, and even the pillow menu made our stay extremely comfortable, thoughtful touches that go beyond the standard five-star experience.
We were fortunate enough to witness part of Vietnam’s 50th reunification celebration from above (including part of the drone show and the fireworks) thanks to the hotel’s prime location. However, during this period, the lounge became a bit too crowded, with many local guests from the north. Unfortunately, this led to a less luxurious experience: noise, children running around, and guests not respecting the dress code. It briefly affected the overall ambiance of the lounge, which is normally very serene and exclusive.
Despite that, the hotel handled every concern with grace. We had an issue with the room temperature on our first night, and staff addressed it immediately. The next day, we were upgraded to an executive suite, yet another example of their commitment to guest satisfaction.
The service details were impeccable: nightly turndown service with chocolates, afternoon English high tea, cocktail hour, and a combination of buffet and à la carte breakfast, all included with lounge access. One small thing that amazed us was how housekeeping neatly rolled and tied every single charger cable and hair tools we had scattered around the room. This a level of detail we’ve never experienced elsewhere.
A very special mention to the executive lounge team, especially Viet Anh, the lounge manager, who made us feel so welcome and at home. His team, young, professional, and full of warmth, made every interaction feel personal. We’re incredibly grateful to have met Huy, Nhi, Minh Anh, Quang Anh, Giang, Binh (and more), all of whom provided exceptional service and made our time in the lounge truly memorable.
Even on the day we returned for a second stay at the end of our trip, Viet Anh wasn’t working, but had made arrangements to ensure we received the warmest welcome from the moment we stepped out of our taxi, what a gesture! We’d also like to thank Lam, the friendly and professional bellboy who welcomed us on our first day, and Thê Anh from room service, who ensured every in-room request was handled with efficiency and care.
We remember each of these names fondly, as they all played a part in making The Reverie not just a hotel, but an experience we will never forget.

Read moreThere's only one con about the hotel. It has 3 entrances and the main access with drop off and lobby is a bit obscure so if you take Grab, good chance the driver will miss the entrance and you have to walk off to find the driver at the other two entrances.
To the good, in a sentence, full 5 stars for everything from the service to the rooms.
Upon arrival, even though the reception is on level 7, the hotel has a concierge and plenty of bell boys at level 1, and they were all very proactive in assistance. I travelled with only one bag, and they offered to help carry and walk me to the reception.
Upon reception, there are 4 or 5 counters, and they offered a cold drink whilst being processed. Live piano music filled the background, check in was fast and seamless and the staff took the time to share details on the breakfast, pool and gym.
Off to another set of elevators and to the room.
Room I stayed had a jack and kill bathroom which had a walk in wardrobe, good amount of space for comfortably 2 adults and a child, so it was plentiful for me.
An added point of compliment, the hotel had a hdmi cable beneath the desk, handy for those like me who like to connect their laptops to the tv for work or some Netflix. This is the first hotel that I've stayed that bothered to include the cable.
A fresh plate of fruits welcomed new to the room, alomg with a fully stocked bar, coffee maker and bottled water. Minor gripe is that the fridge is totally not cold but it's not critical.
A full sized bath tub and tv, with two sinks and full amenities with the standard razors, toothbrush, comb, cotton buds that were replenished daily and separate rain shower and wc.
The water pressure was strong, and temperature ready and easy to control.
Turn down service was provided every day with chocolates and slippers ready by the bed.
Another service provided that I loved was that on one night that I had to work, I ordered GrabFood and the concierge naturally brought it to my room, almost no other hotels I've stayed in allowed this so this was very convenient for me.
Last point of compliment, I left my fountain pen in the room when I checked out, and The hotel had gathered the stuff i left behind because when i emailed them, they had a picture of everything that was left over and they arranged a Fedex to courier the items to me, paid by me.
The location is also god enough that there's a large restaurant downstairs and a whole string of bars, restaurant and cafes just a stone throw opposite from the hotel.
All in all, I can't recommend this hotel enough especially when there are so many other hotels nearby, the rooms were big and spacious, very tastefully done up, staff were all very helpful and attentive, all in all, a perfect 5 stars experience.
Ps they also had a very nice folder of postcards...
