Had a horrible experience with one of the rude waitresses in this restaurant. We visited the restaurant on March 23, 2024 around 8pm. We were seated on the top floor and there were 3 servers there, 2 ladies and 1 man. I placed my order for Fish Cake Rolls with Noodles, and I pointed to it at the menu to avoid miscommunications since the shorter lady did not understand me that well. After I pointed it, she read it to me and I repeated it once again.
Once the food arrived, she served me a Fish Cake Banh Mi which was not my order which I tried to calmly explain to her. She was suddenly irritated and she started to raise her voice at me. Our table was a bit shocked with her tone towards me as I have repeatedly pointed to the Fish Cake Roll as my order (I remember it was on the left side of the menu while I did not even browse the Banh Mi section).
She suddenly grabbed a menu and started aggressively pointing at the Banh Mi section of the menu saying that I pointed at the Fish Cake Banh Mi. I tried to explain to her that I would not order that as I do not eat Banh Mis. She even started badgering my boyfriend to say that I ordered the Banh Mi which he confirmed that I did not, which made her even more aggravated. She grabbed the other waitress and started angrily explaining what was happening and pointing aggressively to the menu.
The taller waitress was very kind as she took my original order and apologized if my order will have a bit of a delay as they will just order it now. Usually, when I get an order wrong, we usually just accept it as we would not want the wrong order to be charged to the waitress but her attitude was really off putting and she was rude as she was just trying to place the order on our table while we explained that it wasn’t our order.
Honestly, this experience ruined our night and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others. I would hope they would improve their service as their...
Read moreThe food was okay, but definitely nothing special and I would not recommend this place to any foodies. I would however recommend Propaganda to those looking for a cute spot in the centre to catch up with a friend or something, as it is decorated nicely and had nice music playing.
Service was not great, and we were not approached and seated by the staff despite entering the restaurant when it was quiet. Perhaps the staff may need a bit more training as it was quite difficult to get their attention and receive good service. Decent customer service from the manager, but that’s pretty much it.
Fried spring rolls w/crab, prawn & glass noodle: Taste was decent but nothing special. I wouldn’t say that it was any better than any other springs rolls that I’ve had in Vietnam. Couldn’t really taste the seafood flavour. Filling to wrapper ratio was a little bit off and the lettuce/herbs provided were very wilted.
BBQ honey pork chop with pandan leaf broken rice: Good taste, and I especially enjoyed the pandan rice. Unfortunately the pork chop was very dry and the price may be a little bit higher than I would like for this dish.
Organic black rice edamame grilled garlic and chilli prawns and dried baby tomatoes: Tasted better than it looked which was a nice surprise. Prawns were over-cooked and a little disappointing. The black rice salad was tasty and was dressed well.
Sticky coconut rice w/fresh mango & coconut cream: We enjoyed this as the mango was perfectly sweet. The coconut cream was a little thicker than the usual ones you would find at a Thai place but was enjoyable in...
