Had a horrible experience with one of the rude waitresses in this restaurant. We visited the restaurant on March 23, 2024 around 8pm. We were seated on the top floor and there were 3 servers there, 2 ladies and 1 man. I placed my order for Fish Cake Rolls with Noodles, and I pointed to it at the menu to avoid miscommunications since the shorter lady did not understand me that well. After I pointed it, she read it to me and I repeated it once again.

Once the food arrived, she served me a Fish Cake Banh Mi which was not my order which I tried to calmly explain to her. She was suddenly irritated and she started to raise her voice at me. Our table was a bit shocked with her tone towards me as I have repeatedly pointed to the Fish Cake Roll as my order (I remember it was on the left side of the menu while I did not even browse the Banh Mi section).

She suddenly grabbed a menu and started aggressively pointing at the Banh Mi section of the menu saying that I pointed at the Fish Cake Banh Mi. I tried to explain to her that I would not order that as I do not eat Banh Mis. She even started badgering my boyfriend to say that I ordered the Banh Mi which he confirmed that I did not, which made her even more aggravated. She grabbed the other waitress and started angrily explaining what was happening and pointing aggressively to the menu.

The taller waitress was very kind as she took my original order and apologized if my order will have a bit of a delay as they will just order it now. Usually, when I get an order wrong, we usually just accept it as we would not want the wrong order to be charged to the waitress but her attitude was really off putting and she was rude as she was just trying to place the order on our table while we explained that it wasn’t our order.

Honestly, this experience ruined our night and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others. I would hope they would improve their service as their...

The food was okay, but definitely nothing special and I would not recommend this place to any foodies. I would however recommend Propaganda to those looking for a cute spot in the centre to catch up with a friend or something, as it is decorated nicely and had nice music playing.

Service was not great, and we were not approached and seated by the staff despite entering the restaurant when it was quiet. Perhaps the staff may need a bit more training as it was quite difficult to get their attention and receive good service. Decent customer service from the manager, but that’s pretty much it.

Fried spring rolls w/crab, prawn & glass noodle: Taste was decent but nothing special. I wouldn’t say that it was any better than any other springs rolls that I’ve had in Vietnam. Couldn’t really taste the seafood flavour. Filling to wrapper ratio was a little bit off and the lettuce/herbs provided were very wilted.

BBQ honey pork chop with pandan leaf broken rice: Good taste, and I especially enjoyed the pandan rice. Unfortunately the pork chop was very dry and the price may be a little bit higher than I would like for this dish.

Organic black rice edamame grilled garlic and chilli prawns and dried baby tomatoes: Tasted better than it looked which was a nice surprise. Prawns were over-cooked and a little disappointing. The black rice salad was tasty and was dressed well.

Sticky coconut rice w/fresh mango & coconut cream: We enjoyed this as the mango was perfectly sweet. The coconut cream was a little thicker than the usual ones you would find at a Thai place but was enjoyable in...

If you find yourself in HCM and yearning for a breakfast experience that is as delightful as it is diverse, look no further than Propaganda. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant boasts a Turkish breakfast that is truly a feast for the senses. The highlight of Propaganda's breakfast menu is undeniably the Turkish spread. The variety is nothing short of impressive, with an array of flavorful dishes that will transport your taste buds to the streets of Istanbul. From warm and fluffy pita bread to rich and creamy hummus, every bite is a revelation of Mediterranean flavours. Don't miss out on the freshly grilled sujuk sausages or the fragrant spinach and feta borek pastries – they're absolute must-tries. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the portion sizes at Propaganda are pretty generous. Be prepared to indulge in a hearty breakfast that will fuel you for hours of exploration in the bustling city. What sets Propaganda apart is its unique offering – you can also order from their sister restaurant next door, Au Parc Restaurant if you're in the mood for Western options. This flexibility ensures that every member of your party will find something to savour, making it an excellent choice for diverse groups of travellers. One of the standout features of Propaganda is its English-speaking waitstaff. They are attentive and well-versed in English, making the dining experience smooth and enjoyable for tourists who may not...

Nestled in the heart of District 1, Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro is a culinary gem that transports you to the vibrant streets of Vietnam. Owned by the same visionary behind the renowned Au Parc, this establishment exudes a cool, contemporary vibe that perfectly complements its unique concept. As you step inside, you're greeted by a captivating atmosphere where the walls are adorned with good-natured Vietnamese propaganda-style murals, playfully replacing slogans with cute mottos. This quirky touch sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The outdoor section offers a delightful al fresco setting, allowing you to savor the flavors of modern Vietnamese home cooking while basking in the energy of the city. One of the highlights on the menu is the Tri-Colored Crunchy Rice with Seafood, a delectable dish that showcases the harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro has quickly become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, thanks to its exceptional cuisine and inviting ambiance. The service is attentive and friendly, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for. Whether you're seeking a taste of authentic Vietnamese flavors or simply looking for a unique dining experience, Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro is a must-visit destination. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, savor the delectable dishes, and create lasting memories in this culinary oasis in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
