Ordered chicken biriyani via grab. taste is seriously bad. no flavour no salt no taste. There was some chicken breast pieces, and no leg pieces. feels like plain coloured rice with boiled chicken. it was not a biriyani, not a fried rice, not a pulao. just coloured rice with chicken breast pieces and no taste. worst food ever. Its so bad that i cant believe it. And i am not exaggerating. I dont think they tasted it before sending me. This is nothing like kolkata food or kolkata biriyani. Best part here was the boiled egg. They made it in 5 minutes, you cant make biriyani in 5 minutes. Its not a biriyani if you mixed cooked rice and cooked chicken and some indian spices together in 5 minutes. If you are gonna do that at least taste it before serving and try to make it little bit tasty. Utterly disappointing and disgusting. If i was sitting in the restaurant, i would make them eat this. They seriously need to hire a decent chef. Edits (as they replied): I don’t need to mention separately that i need salt in my food :). There was no salt in the chicken biriyani at all, its not like i need extra salt in my food. And i can tell its done in 5-10 minutes because the order was delivered in 25 minutes total after i make the order. Delivery time was 15 minutes. So i don’t need to be chef to understand how you cooked it. And i can cook better biriyani, just fyi. After that biriyani i am afraid to go there as it will be waste of my money and disappointment. And i know how biriyani in kolkata taste like. What was sold me here wasn’t biriyani. You can cook for 1000 people or 1 people, doesn’t matter. It was not good food i got for...

The menu at Kolkata is a treasure trove of Indian flavors. My top recommendations include the shrimp curry, which features succulent shrimp in a rich, aromatic sauce that will tantalize your taste buds. The mutton masala is another standout dish, with tender meat simmered in a perfect blend of spices. For a truly indulgent experience, try the biryani – the fragrant rice dish is cooked to perfection and pairs beautifully with the accompanying curries. Don't forget to order the butter roti, a soft and flaky bread that's ideal for soaking up the delicious sauces.
The atmosphere at Kolkata is warm and inviting, with traditional Indian decor that transports you to the streets of its namesake city. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of excellent.
One of the most pleasant surprises at Kolkata is the reasonable prices. Despite the high quality of the food and the generous portions, the prices remain affordable, making it an excellent value for money.
In conclusion, Kolkata has become my go-to Indian restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. The delectable food, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service have earned it a special place in my heart.
