We entered that restaurant by pure chance. We were walking from our hotel to the post office at noon and there was just one couple inside having a hot pot. I thought yeah, I want that too, so we went there in the evening of our first night and again on our last night in Saigon.
It is definitely an evening restaurant and a bit bigger and they have those basins with fresh sea food. First day we arrived early and the restaurant was mainly empty. Anyway staff is nice and they send over some English speaking people to you. I got my first Saigon Special which turned out to be my favorite Vietnamese beer so far. After some time the restaurant was filling and we wondered because mainly locals eat there. Colleagues, couples families and friends. But you will recognize that it is the middle class with better paying jobs. Anyway, you can get some local atmosphere and we liked that and also talked to some guys sitting nearby who recognized our language. They were working for a Swiss company in Saigon.
