Sushi Masa - Vo Van Tan — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I knew about this place from its first location in district 1 (which has like +1k reviews) and when I arrived, it was under renovation and there was an employee handing out vouchers, directing people to head to another location of theirs.

Unnaturally, I went. Food was great, decor is good, service was good. The orders arrived too quickly.

Their steamed egg was premade so it arrived lukewarm, not as good as freshly made steamed egg like other Japanese restaurants. Their sashimi was excellent. Rolls was good. Portions were a little smaller for the price but it’s still decent.

We came in on the 13th of February and it was so crowded, we had to wait for 15 minutes and I honestly was a bit concerned if the staff can handle such a crowd but everyone proved their efficiency amazingly. We had 1 problem that we ordered one grilled teriyaki salmon handroll and were served raw salmon + dynamite sauce. But other than that the service was fast and fresh, and the unagi roll is always top notch. My boyfriend was skeptical about eels but he admitted it...

Food: I've forgotten how many times I've been to Masa, but the first time I came to this branch, the food is always what I appreciate the most, the decoration makes me feel appreciated, the raw dishes are very fresh

Space: Beautiful, lighting system, colorful tables and chairs arranged reasonably

Price: Intermediate level suitable for many audiences

Service: quick ordering, free parking, cheerful and attentive staff
