They put sushi in the name of their restaurant. I figured I had the best chance of getting vegetarian sushi here. Except, they didn't have avocado. I can understand that, avocado is hard to come by in this season. But to tell the customer that you can't make the sushi simply because you don't have one ingredient is absolutely ridiculous for a restaurant that has the word "sushi" posted all over their restaurant. How can you not make it to order? Why does one ingredient that you know is not always easy to get become a make-or-break point for the service you offer? I would've been less annoyed if the food I ordered instead was great. The fried rice was, but I ordered a vegetable tempura dish and ended up getting 4 pieces of tempura sweet potato and one eggplant. If I wanted to eat a lot of fried sweet potato, I would've ordered your fried sweet potato dish instead of the dish that advertises an assortment of vegetables in the picture.
Maybe I was just unlucky because I came at 12:30 and they were eager to close (which they did early). One of the dishes was good, the plates were well decorated and the waiter I had was kind. Without any one of those, I would've easily dropped my...
Read moreHonestly some great Japanese food down a lesser-known alley. Food: I ordered a katsu Kare Raisu, my favorite Japanese dish and so I'm quite picky, honestly, they nailed it on the head. Not too savory, not too sweet a perfect blend. Even the portion was perfect for the price. I also ordered some gyoza, which was made perfectly and had plenty of flavor. A friend of mine ordered some sushi, and worried that it might not be fresh he was hesitant. But we were left wanting more, definitely well prepared and I'd order it myself in the future. Service: Very lovely people, they were very patient and waited till we finally made our minds up. So props to them. Atmosphere: Not the biggest restaurant in the world, and it should honestly be more popular considering its quality. Its well decorated and gives a great vibe. Overall I'd be delighted to go again. And i think you should go too. (My only slight gripe was the lack of noodle dishes like ramen or tsukemen, but they do have...
