This is such an amazing cafe. When I drove past, the older man already greeted me nicely. I drove past since I was going to a different restaurant in the street, but it looked empty and this cafe looked busy and cozy. When entering I got greeted my everyone and got an amazing table upstairs for myself next to the balcony with a view over the tomb wall. This is exactly what I wanted, since I’m by myself and wanted to write in my diary and read a book. I ordered the beef rice paper meal, it’s famous in Hue and you put the food together yourself. This was so delicious!! Highly recommend. The service is immaculate and they all speak English so good and are so sweet
Read moreReviews on Google maps led us to this place. I was starting to get the feeling that it might be an overhyped tourist destination, but then we experienced it. The value is exceptional. They are working hard to help foreigners feel comfortable, but keeping their prices in line with local value, which I really appreciate as well as offering traditional foods. I got the roll it yourself chicken spring rolls with peanut sauce. Yummy. I’m not a huge fan of fishy flavors so I very much enjoyed this tasty choice. I did spice it up a bit with a squirt of chili sauce. It was fun fresh and yummy. My husband got a fried rice which he enjoyed, but I didn’t sample. We had a few beers and drink in the fun atmosphere of scooters zipping by on one side and the moat and imperial city walls on the other. They played an eclectic series of music. And made every guest from several different countries feel very welcome. They are very good at hospitality and I recommend...
Read moreThe food was great. I asked them for a recommendation and I’m very happy I did. I ordered the squid stuffed with meatball and the shrimp pang cakes as a starter (but they brought it last). Steamed rice came with the main dish. Both dishes were great in flavor, quality and quantity. I was very hungry and came here alone so I ate everything, but these dishes seem to be meant to share. If it’s a party of two, I’d recommend ordering one more dish.
Regarding the service: since they saw me looking for the place, they prepared a parking spot for my motorbike. Then they bring you to an airconditioned room with a nice view and provide cold wet wipes in sealed packages so that you can freshen up. People working here are very friendly and affable. At the end of your meal they bring you complimentary tea and watermelon, which were also pretty good!
One of my best meals in Vietnam so far, highly...
