La Villa Boutique Hotel — Restaurant in Nha Trang City

Let me tell about the worst experience I happened to face in Nha Trang. We were intended to spend a nice evening with good food, service and "best shisha" as I happened to read at Tripadvisor, but everything turned upaside down. Interior - very nice. But thats the only advantage. Dishes - disgusting, especially for such price. The steak was VERY well done, though they promised medium. Italian sausages were tough and too greasy. And... the main dish of the evening - pork ribs - were served slightly warm and looked like the restaurant hasn't changed oil in the fryer for months. As I discovered a few minutes later sausages left black oily marks on the plate, that proved my feelings about old dirty oil in the fryer.

Service - a separate amusing story. First of all it took a long time till the waitress appeared. She didnt write down the order, so she had to come up twice to make specifications about the order. As I wrote above, we ordered two main dishes and a beer snack to shorten time till main dishes arrive. But...the glasses were empty and still no snack on the table. It was even hard to order a second glass of beer, because there was noone around. All staff was busy with their own businesses, though there were almost no hosts - all tables vacant, besides us and guys near us.

When the dishes arrived, I discovered that pork ribs were served cold. As there was noone around I had to come up to the hostess and told her thedish was not okay. She took tne dish away and then their manager came and started disputing with me. The mood was spoiled, and i asked to leave us alone and let my husband enjoy his meal. Later the servant brought a passionfruit cheesecake as a compliment, but guys i was drinking beer! Beer and cake, eh? The hostess started tricking me that I shiuld eat the cheesecake faster or "it gets cold too". Is that an appropriate service, Mister Owner? Your Russian personnel looks like they are too busy to deal with guests, the only nice and polite woman was a Vietnamese waitress, that made the evening a bit brighter. Five stars for her!

Oh god. So this place gets two stars because the food was actually pretty good when it eventually arrived (we had two pasta dishes). However, we basically had to just sit down and then ask for menus because none of the staff seemed to care that we were there, we then had to flag over staff to take our order. we were waiting over an hour for our food so asked to order some more drinks, presumably the front of house manager threw a menu at us and then went off and sat at her desk at the front for ten minutes. We had to approach her to order. She was insanely rude for someone working in hospitality. Then charged 90k for a gin and tonic despite gin being listed as 40k, so presumably we were charged 50k for tonic water. Wouldn’t go back due to the service. Great place opposite called Cactus though, decent food and they are friendly.

As a response to the below, it was not lunar new year we came. It was in the holiday period, however a) if you cannot handle the amount of people in your restaurant then do not seat more tables and b) we ordered two simple pasta dishes which would take no more than ten minutes to make, thirty would be expected in a restaurant at most. It is not a reasonable breakdown to advertise 40k for gin and 90k for gin and tonic, given that tonic in other bars around your establishment were 15k if not included with the gin. I think the tone of the response from you pretty much sums up the stuck up attitude of the female serving us sat at her desk for the majority of the night. We won’t bother returning and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else...

-Local staff are friendly, one Russian and one Filipino lady were also great -Owner of Hotel was ok, came across friendly and rude -Lovely lobby and Reception area, very funky too -We stayed in Room #302 (Apartment style) -Comfy bed 😴 -Good shower 🚿 -TV's didn't work (no channels), we weren't planning on using them anyway -Good size fridge and freezer -Kitchen is decent size, basic cutlery / crockery , pots, pans and single pan / pot Electric stove were provided, we didn't use these, a chopping board, basic cutting knife, cooking spoon would have been great as if we did have these, we may have used the Kitchen -Sink is decent size (no dishwashing soap provided yet when we used the glasses for water the cleaners seemed to clean and put back) -Air-Con in bedroom is good -Fan in lounge and kitchen area (open planned) -Balcony view is ok (two small seats provided) -Food is ok to nice, depends on what you order -Plenty of Vegetarian 🍚🍛🍝🍄🌶🍌 options -Make sure they give you a second room card for this style of room to keep fridge running -Towels get changed daily yet bedding doesn't -Three star Hotel 🏨 which...
