The Olive Tree — Restaurant in Lusaka Province

I had terrible experience having lunch by the Olive Tree eastpark. Placed an order for food and drinks, of which some of the drink orders had to be made 3 times before being served. As I was waiting for change, with instructions from management they brought out their grills, tables, brai stand (still with burning charcoal) , and all, which were literally all at hands length and started cleaning them. I am talking about scrubbing them right infront of me with wind blowing ash in my face. I requested for change, mentioned it to them and left. Bear in mind, MANAGEMENT WAS WATCHING ALL THIS HAPPEN (VERY UNBOTHERED) AND REQUESTING MORE THINGS TO BE BROUGHT IN MY CORNER...

I absolutely enjoyed their food and will definitely return to try out the other items on the menu. I must say, though, that the place is small, so there were instances where customers would be standing because of a lack of tables.

02-03-2024 I am not sure if they have changed chefs, but my last visit there was horrible and disappointing. The food was mostly burnt and tasted funny. Our waitress kept disappearing and going off to chat with her colleagues, so I had to keep going to get her attention by walking to her. The plates were not served at the same time. By the time mine was being served, the other was pretty much done. The chicken was nicely...

Visted The Olive Tree two days in a row. Ordered the Lebanese coffee and it's very aromatic and delicious. The food is very nice too. On day one I ordered the wings which comes with a side of chips or rice and green salad and pita bread, and on day two I ordered the pepper steak roll burger which comes with a side of chips.
