Very tasty food and excellent ambiance in the outdoor section of this restaurant. The Pizza oven puts out some amazing aromas and the gnocchi is exceptional. We dined here twice during a 4 night stay in Alice and enjoyed both meals. On a Friday night we did have to wait almost 15mins to be seated (no reservation) and the meals took an hour to come out. Several patrons around us appeared to be less than impressed with the slow service. Whilst this was a little unexpected, and slightly disappointing; it was apparently an ‘unusually busy’ Friday night as we were told by the waiter. We went back again on a Sunday for dinner and had a much more enjoyable and expected experience with the same delicious food but much faster this time. Service was acceptable but our main meals did come out 5mins apart on both occasions which was a little disappointing (I’m still old school and won’t start until all meals have been served). Food price is fair and drinks prices are a little on the $$$ side. All in all - a very nice little restaurant in the heart of Alice which we would go...
Read moreAfter celebrating my 40th Birthday there and leaving disappointed we’ve since tried delivery, dine in and pick up over the last few months and all three were disappointing for either timing, service, temperature and taste or all four. Premium prices are acceptable when premium ingredients are used which I feel they are not anymore on several different dishes ordered. Polenta fingers were dry every time and once completely inedible after sitting under the pass for over an hour waiting for driver to collect. Pizzas can be ok but not what they used to be and the gnocchi ordered twice is not home made like it used to be. The salted caramel in the tiramisu equally resembles pre purchased sauce as does the pesto. Dine in service is terribly lacking enthusiasm and drinks need to be self ordered even when not busy. Definitely not the meals we so much enjoyed (and happily waited lengthy times for) before the restaurant was established. Sadly we...
Read moreThe only "Italian" pizza you can find in Alice. Unfortunately, the only Italian thing about it, is the looks. The pizza itself is very bland with its non authentic ingredients (just to mention one: why getting Australian parmesan from Coles and Woolies when you can buy the real thing??) and a very chewy pizza dough. Something definitely got lost in the process of making the dough and let it rest for the needed time. I really hope the pizzaiolo could take some pride in its job and lift the bar higher, however the poor choice of ingredients and the clearly inexperienced staff, point at some bigger fault in the management/ownership department. You are lucky enough to own a business, put some heart in it otherwise you might as well open...
