Coffee was good. However a new chef and perhaps manager also is needed. An eggs Benedict is simple and will keep anybody coming back every week if done right, we were served an eggs Benedict on Toast which I can get over if the toast Is fresh sadly not, this also came on rocket lettuce not spinach, OK so they may not have had spinach now this is the hard part the hollandaise sauce was mayonnaise with some lemon tang to it this is where either a chef with no clue or pure cant be bothered making something properly attitude comes in. I also paid extra for avocado and halloumi cheese on the side the avocado was not sliced and was a chunk in a saucer, Halloumi cheese must have come from the back of the fridge it was cold and hard and unpresentable/edible. When I was asked how everything was I politely said I didn't like it in this case I was not asked what I didn't like about the breakfast or an apology. I then proceeded to hand over almost $60 for something worse than breakfast at home. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day , I think primary espresso need to get a real grip on how a simple thing like breakfast can be messed up by not...
Read moreStopping over in Bowral for lunch from Sydney, my wife and I wandered into this unassuming place after a quick check of reviews on our phones. This place far exceeded our expectations. The service was super friendly and enthusiastic. We were explained the various specials on the board with enough passion to intrigue us with everything there which put us in a dilemma on what to pick. In the end we had the lobster bisque and a salad. They were simply exquisite. It was obvious the ingredients were fresh and of top quality and the flavours well balanced. To top it off, they were excellent value given the size of the servings. I wish I had left some tips which I absentmindedly forgot, such was the positive feeling we had at this place. Next time when we pass by Bowral, this place is a no...
Read morePopped to Bowral from Sydney for some mountain biking. Had lunch here.
This cafe is definitely cheaper than the others. We were surprised at that the prices in Bowral are higher than Sydney.
The food portions are big and taste good, and the service super friendly.
The only thing that didn't work for us was the 5% weekend surcharge that we didn't see written at the bottom of the menu.
The owner explained the reason for the surcharge and we get the that we as the customer carry the expense of extra staff.
We would have preferred it to be clearly visible at the till. If I hadn't queried the bill, I would not have known that I paid it.
Just a heads up.
