Called and made a booking for 9 the day before. Tip: make sure you call within their trading hours as there is no option to leave a message. Was told 1 bill per table. At the venue, I saw you can get a 5% discount if paying by cash. For a group booking I assume this has to be for the whole table.
We were allocated a table at the back of the restaurant. The tables are spaced a reasonable distance from the others. At the table we were assigned one side had bench seating and the other side had single chairs. This is a popular spot. Made a booking for midday and the restaurant filled up fast.
Table service. We were given 2 jugs of water and cups for everyone. Everyone ordered from the lunch menu except one person. The meals ordered from the lunch menu came within 10 mins of being seated. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for the person that ordered off the regular menu. They had to wait over half an hour and had to follow up with the waiter to check it was coming. On the plus side it would've been freshly prepared.
I ordered the beef massman curry (as the waiter informed me this was one of the most popular items) from the lunch menu and took advantage of a $4 upgrade on top and chose the chicken skewers with peanut sauce. I was happy with the portion of curry and the amount of beef chunks in it. The skewers were mini skewers but reasonable at that price point. The sauce would've been next level if they added peanut butter.
It was so busy you needed to give the staff a wave to get their attention. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal and the staff did their best considering how...
Read moreHad dinner with a friend and ordered stir fry, curry, and, by accident, sticky rice instead of steamed rice. When the food arrived, I realized my mistake and asked if it was possible to swap the rice since both cost the same. The waitress responded, "The rice is wrapped in plastic and will melt, so we can't serve it to another table later if you send it back. You have to pay."
If your customers have to point out that you shouldn’t be wrapping hot rice in plastic because it melts, or that you shouldn’t be serving rejected food from one table to another paying customer, it’s probably time to rethink your morals and food safety practices.
She then called over the "manager" (who seemed like just another waiter) to deal with it, but instead of actually resolving the issue, he just said, "You ordered over the QR code, so it was your mistake, not ours." I asked, "So you and your staff have never made any mistakes?" He avoided the question and just laughed. Interesting customer service.
At that point, I let it go— since it wasn't worth getting upset about. The irony is that they messed up our order by giving us a plate of plain peanut sauce instead of the stir-fry we actually ordered. No apology, no acknowledgment—just a restaurant unwilling to take responsibility for their own mistakes while holding customers to a higher standard than they hold themselves. And on top of that, very questionable food...
Read moreI will start off with the most ridiculous thing I have seen or heard of in a restaurant. My daughter had accidentally knocked over a glass on the table and it smashed on the table she didn't drop it or it didn't fall on the ground just knocked over on the table so this gives you an idea how fragile the glass is. So the waitress comes over to clean the glass and you would swear someone had murdered someone how mad this waitress was. My friend tried helping and she aggressively pulled the bag away from him, when she was leaving I joked to the table that they will probably charge us for the glass and when the bill came my joke became real. They had added broken object charging $15. Now of course there's no way we would be paying that so we let the server know and had to talk to manager and he took the charge off.
The food was very good and I was even considering going back here because it was good but the service is actually a joke. The drinks where crazy expensive for what you get for example I ordered a Caipirinha cocktail and when it came out it was just a glass of ice with a small bit of drink in it, also 2 other cocktails ordered to the table mango margarita and a watermelon cocktail and they charged 8 dollars each to put vodka in.
This restaurant seriously needs to put the servers either through training or get new staff because they really bring down the good work then kitchen staff does...
