I was first contacted by Robert almost a year and a half ago after a sale of one the units in the apartment block where I own a two-bedroom unit in New Farm. At the time my husband, John and I had no interest in selling the unit and I was happy for Robert to call me from time to time to touch base.
This year we decided to sell our unit. As we reside in Sydney and not familiar which real estate agent to go with, I am thankful we had Robert to call on to manage the sale of our property.
Robert did more than we expected. He took on a couple of minor details, such as offering a couple of painters, and staging businesses to provide us with quotes; contacting a handyman to fix a couple of things in the unit; and placing an ad to unburden us to off-load a clothes drier which the buyers did not want.
We were very excited and with much trepidation on the first weekend viewing on the last Saturday in August 2020. The first offer was below what we would have liked. He kept in touch on offers and kept us positive. Robert, in the end sold our property that day with an unbelievable price offer!

Our property was a pretty standard type of place, but that did not dent John’s preparedness to go the market and achieve a price we were more than satisfied with. Right from the start he gave us what we believed was an honest and accurate assessment of what we should achieve, based on his demonstrated market research into the local area, sales in the same townhouse complex (surprisingly not something the other two agents we interviewed did), type and standard of our offering compared to others on the market as well as past sales in the area. This gave us confidence that we would achieve the price range John indicated - indeed we achieved a little more than that. We do not live in Brisbane and were overseas for much of the marketing campaign, and luckily could rely on John to prep the townhouse for market (he had his own props like nice towels, flowers etc) and throughout the process whilst we were away John kept us up to date with what was happening.
