The St Francis Xavier Cathedral blends Romanesque and Byzantine Revival architecture and was the work of architect and priest, Monsignor John Cyril Hawes (1876-1956). The cathedral, serving Geraldton’s Roman Catholic community stands out for its twin towers flanking the entrance and the substantial dome between the nave and apse.

I’m not Catholic but they do daily mass 2 services on a Friday 3 on Sunday

I’ve not seen a Catholic Church with so many services and I like it!!

I attended the Friday 12:05 - all Christians need to drop the labels and experience other forms of worship - yes there is some religion/mans traditions rise Jesus talks about, but the reverence for God when you posture your heart to worship is amazing

How amazing is this place you walk up the steps and have a look at it and then you walk in the door and as rows in the windows lead light windows on well they have a terrific organ the photos can't say it enough but if you get a chance come up and have a look at this Cathedral also in the back corner we went down the stairs and there's a little area underneath as well she's quite nice to have a look at I would give it a 10 for the staff and the people that are showing you around they were pleasant and polite they explained so much detail that it was nice to listen to them if you get a chance come to the...
