The Provincial has a great web site with an online menu which i was able to peruse befroe making a booking for two by the mobile number provided on the site. We arrived at the restaurant, the table was reserved and the owner met us at the door to explain the drinks and food service to us. We ordered our drinks, prices are good, service is with a smile, helpful, efficient and fast. We ordered our food, the entree was there within a few minutes, a nice pitta bread with a dip, perfect to get the taste buds going before the main and good value for money. The waiter then kindly asked us if were ready for our main meal, which was a nice, not often seen touch. The meal came as we requested. I had the Lamb Shank on a bed of Mashed Potato with Peas and my lady-friend had the Scotch Fillet with Salad and Chips. Both meals could not be faulted and were cooked and presented on time to perfection. While we were eating the first rate food, once again the owner checked to see we were happy. On leaving I thanked the staff and left them a decent tip. I love the warmth and atmosphere of this place. Sometimes they have live music in the beer garden out the back. Friendly helpful staff, great, helpful owner/manager and five star food at great prices, comes highly recommended. I have been here about ten times now and will continue to do so. A comment about the prices, they are value for money, as we are 450 kilometres from Perth which is the most isolated city in the world, in a regional area where petrol, groceries and other costs are much higher, you have to expect to pay a little bit more in this town for great food and...

Took a recommendation from the hotel I was staying at. Ordered a steak and a couple of beers. Food was good, beer was cold.

Service was good at the counter - got good guidance as to how to order my steak. Which is great, because I couldn't see it when I was served. Room was 'mood lit'. Read: it was dark. Well seasoned.

Got moved 4 times. Once because when I went back to my table (no table service unless the staff talk to you when you are at your table.... Go figure) there was someone there, three more times because other people came in and staff asked that those clients sit where I was.... I moved firstly so 2 could take my table, then I moved to a 6 seater table so the table of 3 could take the table I was seated at.... Why the others couldn't take those tables is beyond me

Staff asked me if I wanted a dessert menu, which I accepted. Waited a while, no service. Then I went for a wee, and the staff cleared my glass and my menu, and ignored me for the 10 minutes after I came back. I was then reminded about no table service - except that I had actually received table service, which confused me.

Anyway, I reviewed my experience to the hotel staff.

Happy I went there, because the food was reasonable. Not sure I'll go back next time I'm up here because the service was.... Weird. At $80 for a steak and veg with a couple of beers, table service would...

I had just made the treacherous journey from Carnarvon and was looking for something to satisfy my hunger I had attained on this trip; I was getting to the point of HANGRY. I decided on some cheap and delicious noodles, but as I was walking towards the noodle shop I passed this establishment and my eyes and nose where immediately distracted by the sight and smell of woodfired pizza. I quickly threw my noodle feast plans straight out the window and orders a pizza and a beer. I ordered the capricciosa pizza and added anchovies, as well as a beer. Now the beer was fine, its beer; I expect it to be the same everywhere I go. To my surprise the pizza came out within 5 minutes (legit, service was as quick as 1000 startled gazelles). I was presented with the pizza I could only dream of; woodfired to perfection circle of deliciousness. The crust was perfectly raised and had some slight burnt bits on it (exactly how I like it), and the toppings where spread around quite well. The anchovies that I ordered as an extra where a game changer. Any other pizza place would have 'aNcHovIeS', but these where ANCHOVIES - great size and fresh as heck flavour. I wish I was staying in Geraldton for longer so I could sample more of the food and drink menu. Every staff member, give yourselves a pat on the back - I can't wait to...

Went on a Saturday night at 5.45pm. I was seated at the back in a small semi open area. Ordered the medium steak with a salad, a SB white (Alkoomi) and a sticky date for dessert. I let the bartender recommend the wine and it was fantastic. Steak was sizable (300 grams) and cooked to a perfect medium. Steak was juicy, not dry, nice char grilled flavours. Red wine jus suited the steak beautiful. Salad was simple, nothing fancy but a bit small. The whole meal was put together well. Sticky date is nice, nothing fancy. Likely pre-prepared frozen and reheated as the chocolate wafer sticks were slightly soft and stuck to bits of hardened caramel on top. Still it was moist and sweet. Good way to close of the meal. Service was fast and attentive for a bustling Saturday night. Atmosphere was good but there was a party so it got really loud (sustained 90+ decibels). Impossible to have any dinner conversation. Lighting was lacking as well, as it darker, I couldn't see my food. I would have stayed for more drinks and enjoy the live music, which I was really looking forward to, but the noise was just too much. Could have been 5 stars with: more salad, better lighting and some sound absorption.

Tell me why my garlic pasta and flatbread took 1.5 hours to arrive. I ordered via a QR code and asked several wait staff after an hour why the food was taking so long. The waitress came over to explain the order hadn’t gone through the system and they were going to start making it now. We were very upset but did not blame the waitress as it was not her fault, but questioned why we did not receive any apologies from the supervisor or compensation for meals. We ended up getting the meals as takeaway because we hate waited so long. I understand the food industry is tough, especially the location being in a rural area, however, we would have appreciated a simple apology or compensation for drinks/dessert. The garlic pasta was nice but I could have made it at home if I knew it would have taken 1.5 hours to arrive at a restaurant. Food and drinks were nice, great atmosphere although absolutely terrible service.

We ordered food and drinks via QR code at a restaurant, but after 30 minutes, nothing arrived. We noticed customers who came after us getting served first. We inquired about our order and were told it wasn't on the system. The staff kindly provided a paper order form. Here's a breakdown of the wait times: * 6:40 PM: Order sent * 7:10 PM: Staff acknowledged the missing order and took a new order from us * 7:45 PM: We requested drinks first * 7:56 PM: We received our drinks (75 minutes after ordering) * 7:58 PM: We were informed that one of our dishes was unavailable * 8:12 PM: Steak arrived * 8:23 PM: Lamb salad arrived with plastic wrap inside (returned for a refund) Despite the wait and issues, the staff were friendly and the food (besides the salad) was good. However, the long wait, especially for a 72-year-old in our party, significantly detracted from the experience.
