A lovely little local beach. Every time I went late afternoon there was a cool onshore breeze. It is a dog beach - they were always well behaved when I was there, and their owners kept an eye on them, but if you don't like dogs keep this in mind. A sandy beach, grassed area and benches to sit on all add up to a great spot to sit and enjoy watching the small boats bobbing up and down.    Read moreLocated on Marieville Esplanade, Short Beach, like its name is short, about 200m long, shallow water and lots of action with the boats and rowing boats leaving off this beach. During summer you have a sea kayak company renting out kayaks. Dogs are allowed on this beach, Their is a fantastic children play ground, sheltered bbq, toilets and half basketball court.    Read moreNot recommended for humans to swim here ! Iâm not certain how resistant dogs are to this sort of bacteria . Considering they laugh at botulism that can kill humans Iâd guess they may be ok. Maybe ask your local vet .
