Huzzah, what a find! We've lived in Hobart for several years and have been pining for a bisto... well, problem solved. Two of us went last night however I hadn't twigged that it was French leaning so of course everything is cooked in butter. Delicious... unless you're dairy intolerant! Not only did the chef come to the table to discuss the menu, she actually made a fish sauce and an aioli to accompany the food we had ordered, and it was delicious! It was so refreshing to be treated like a person and not an inconvenience. The waiters are personable without being in your face and the place is modern, comfortable and cute. Bonus, there are acoustic panels on the ceiling so you can hear each other speak! I'm almost loathe to leave a review as I think this one is going to be...

Beautiful cozy cafe with amazing food and coffee! Highly recommend. Love the Asian fusion takes on the food.

Matcha cloud was a combination of coconut water and matcha - extremely refreshing.

Prawn toast - perfectly baked which is paired well with the gochujang sauce. Paired my second serving with the apple slaw which gave it a nice twist.

Beef tartare - first time trying beef tartare served on a youtiao (Chinese donut). Surprisingly good combo and really fresh beef

Beef ravioli - house sauce was amazing and goes well with the pulled beef

Congee - rare find of Chinese congee with roast duck. Crispy kale melts and blends well...

Overall 9/10

Went twice so far. Once the first Saturday on their opening week, and again the week after. Foods are great, and sold out quickly. We came slightly after 10am the first time and they have sold out on croissants!

Tried foccacia, plain croissant, pain Swisse, pork chorizo hot honey bun, cruller, pistachio and pear tart, sausage+egg+tartare+cheese english muffin, and apple and walnut Danish. Personal favourites are plain croissant, pistachio and pear tart, and the...

A must! Can’t wait to visit Hobart again if only to visit this place again! The highlight was the sausage and egg muffin. It sounds unassuming, but every part of it is perfect. The egg is not just an egg, it’s kind of like a dashi egg? (basically some fluffy, decadent goodness). The sausage and the dill / pickle sauce is perfect. We also got coffee, the escargot and a loaf of bread. All perfect. Prices reasonable. No brainer if you’re nearby, worth a visit even if you’re not!
